Really cool idea, much like the recent kickstarters for the Vlogging community and My Little Pony. Good luck with your kickstarter!

Once you raise enough funds, I would suggest setting up some lights to make the interview sections a little more upscale. You can use natural lighting a lot of the time or even purchase a cheap reflector that can help bounce the light onto the subject and fill in the shadows. Just a suggestion!
