Today I went to Nashua, NH. and played my Flychamp deck


Round 1 vs. Gabe B-Shuppet.

Shuppet is annoying at best. I got a t3 double claydol and flygon. I discarded 1 plus power and 2 belts with wind errosion. Throughout the game I got like 3 KOs with machamp, then retreating and letting it heal off for a while.

Round 2 vs. Kevin C -Luxchomp

I was pretty worried about this one. His garchomp OHKO my flygon and Uxie x+lucario = bye bye machamp. Ok so he has an unown G start to my trapinch, candy,flygon,memory berry and VERY little else. he attaches the call, and gets set up, and I'm forced to lock him for 4 turns while I get set up. I later realize that that was his only unown g and he plays 2 arrons, no maintn. no palmer. So I blow through his attackers with machamp.

Round 3 vs. Paz GG- Gengar ( SF)

I am VERY worried about this one, not because it's gengar. I personally think gengar stinks. I'm worried because Paz is a really good player who knows how to play his deck very well. I force him to waste his warps early game. I'm set up by t3 with 2 claydol, nidoqueen and 2 flygons. I had control for most of the game until he hit a key fainting spell flip. But he has nothing, and he scoops like 2 turns later because he prob. would have got decked.

Round 4 vs. Thomas A.-Dusknoir/Dialga G

Thomas is a great kid and we were joking around the whole game. At this point were the only 2 3-0s so both of us have a pretty good chance of top cutting . He opens up strong, getting his dark hide dusknoir and DP dusknoir fast. I got a t1 Machamp that was pretty usuless, and couldn't get anything the whole game. He played the match very well.

Round 5 vs. Estrella-Kingdra

She had a baltoy start, which I stalled for 4 turns. By the time I killled it, I was very setup and she couldn't really do much.

I know I'm in top cut because my only loss was to thomas who went 5-0.

about ten minutes later, they announce top cut.

Paz GG- 4-1

Top 4 vs. Paz.

game 1. I was pretty confident because I had already beaten him in swiss. I open strong with a baltoy, double trapinch and unown G. I have control all game and he gets very little out.

Game 2. He chooses to go second, and wins t1

Game 3 He gets like 4 drawers, claydol and 2 gengars t1. His build is just so good. Nothing I could do.

The worst part is, Kiko ( who won) was playing sp, a great matchup for me, so I could have won in the finals.

Uhhh- you can't gauge Shuppet's effectiveness when you mill ridiculous stuff!! Not to mention you seemed to have gotten a sweet hand if you had T3 Double dol and Flygon.:/

I seem to recall you saying very similar things about shuppet at the CC =/

Even if I had ran Palmer's, I still would have lost 1 of my 2 G drops.... and why can't I poke fun at my own deck? The problem is your description of R1 does not give me the impression of a very fair match :p
 
Dude, it's not your deck. just cause you wrote the article doesn't mean it's your deck. I also wasn't judging shuppet on that one game.
 
It is my deck - nobody played it before me that I know of. When people adapt and my homemade deck becomes a known deck that's actually played, does it stop being my deck? :p

And your report had definitely implied that your game was your proof for Shuppet being mediocre. All I said was that your game was not a very fair test of Shuppet's playability.

Of course, you could argue it was SLOW DECK's deck, and you'd be pretty much right. All I did was shift it to focus on Shuppet.
 
lol kevin i agree its not your deck you didint make it it wouldint be half as good if all the players in MA hadint started using it and adding there own stuf to improve it

Uhhh - I did make it, the players never would have played it if not for me, and the additions I've seen made are an extra Spiritomb and lots of Ball engine cards, in exchange for Unown R, and one each of Uxie and Crobat. NOT good changes.

whatever i dont want to fight just calling it your deck sounds kinda like (oh i made this your copying me)
but i dont care ive never liked the deck so you can call it what you want danny you guna be at lexington?
 
Uhhh - yeah I made Shuppet. Why is that so hard to believe, when I love playing weird decks? :/

And I never said anyone was copying me, or I wouldn't have made an article. That was so people could use the deck. I simply assert that I can poke fun at the deck lol.
 
okay nevermind kevin forget the hole thing i just think its wrong of you to claim rights to the deck when obviously some one thought of it before you so whatever
