the way i see it, the krickets aren't very good, and they need backup, but budew? it's, in a word, useless in this deck. you made this thread for help with kricket, and all given help so nfar has been shunted.
you want backup? good, but make it worth while.

try either;
1 carnivine
1-1 gyarados mt line

they'll be god back-up

1 Absol EX is the play...for now!!!

I hope this is a joke. With only 5 basics you will be starting with Absol-ex plenty of times my friend and if Lucario variants continue to see play you will regret it. Without the Absol, Tune hoses Lucario, but with it your matchups suddenly are in Lucario's favor. Even though I understand the Absol-ex tech because in Tune there are plenty of times that 80 is overkill but beleive me you will start with lone Absol and lose because of that.

i dont know y ppl are crying about 1budew.

he play tested against HIS metagame and it works...

not every1 has the exact same metagame..

if it works for him then good...

i agree with others (taking out the budew) but its his metagame and we dont know stuff about it.

you dont see me posting

OMG TAKE OUT THE BUDEW!!!! IT WILL SLOW IT DOWN..!!!

The only cards I can really see teching into K2 right now are possibly Wormadam, or a Plusle/Minun to draw more cards or recycle your energy cards back to your hand when your 'Tune get's KO'd. If you do Wormadam you should probably pair it up rather than tech it in, which makes a completely new deck really. I'm not sure a lone Minun would help enough during the game to risk starting with it and slowing yourself down in the process.

Also, I think Crystal Beach is an even more important card in this deck than DRE. Against everything but Blissey you will generally rack up 2-3 prizes before your opponent can set up something to knock out 'Tunes by powering up a benched guy while sending out basics to to stall. Scramble Energy and DRE play a huge part in fueling the attacks for the stage 2 they are building to try and come back with. Crystal Beach + Cessation Crystal + Team Galactic's Wager, along with possibly some ER2 can finish off everything not named Blissey. Crystal Beach does slow Blissey down, but even then it's usually not enough to overcome the big pink deathball.
