Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

LA California, Gym Challenge

Well, for one thing, i'm not paranoid like that. I would be upset if I had some kind of proof he found out that way, but if my opponent even got called, I would tell him to hand it to someone else before he answered it. Simple.

What happened happened, Chung lost that match anyway.

hey check this pic out do you see anything wrong with the pic? anything that would be against pokemon rules?

answer: he's on a cell phone and its in the finals. isnt there a rule that players may not use any electronics while they re playing? :nonono:
LOL - "psssssss" hey Chung, George has an NRG...etc...etc...I'm kidding guy!! But leave it to Chung to answer his phone during his TOP 8 match - look at the look on Chrisbo's face - CLASSIC!! Hello judge - tell Chung to get off the PHONE!!

"psssssss" hey Chung did you "COPY" on what George had in his hand!!!

As I was next to the receiver of the call, I happen to know he was speaking in a different language, The call was longer than 4 minutes, (I did not time it, but made 3 trades and looked at two books of cards, in the meantime). I would be very upset if my opponent was doing that, just as I would suspect my opponent to be, if I did that. (Social & game curtesy) I don't blame the judge if he is upset, I would be. That was blatant disrespect for him, as well as the rules of the game that should apply to all. That doesn't mean this or any other person has to try and prove what they can get away with at any point in this game (finals or not). I thought that was what made this game stand apart from all other games out there--Fairness!! We all have cells with us, but during a game if my phone rings I try not to answer, but if I think it would be an emergency, I would trust the judge to answer and let me know if it was an emergency and in an emergency, I would have forfeited and left!!!!!

not that it's anyones business, but yes, chung was speaking in a differant language (cantonese), he was speaking to his mother, and he was warned and told to get off the phone. the situation was infact actioned on by two judges.

if he was on the phone for that long PLUS in a different language, it should of been more than a warning or now people are gonna answer the phone really quick and get a warning than win the game? unfair.

It's done, it's overwith, get over it. No use in arguing over something that is in the past and that cannot be changed. He lost anyways, so he obviously was not gaining anything from the phone call. The judges did their jobs, too, and they know what to do in the future.

what i dont get is why did the judge let him talk soo long. shouldnt the judge just said please get off the phone now, and chung should of gotten off the phone that second?

wpm im not argueing, im just asking questions that way when i judge and someone answers the phone i know what to do as a player or as a judge.

FYI it was vietnamese. knowing what he says (belive it or not), he said nothing about the game.
