I have been looking for the Landorus (BW79) promo from the Plasma Freeze Blister for several weeks. I have not seen any at my local Walmarts, Targets or ToysRUs. A scan of Ebay and Troll and Toad also show none in the US. It would appear that there is some kind of distribution problem since these blisters had an early May release date and they are nowhere near available, even in the resell market.

Should this card be banned for Nationals since those lucky few that have the card would seem to have an advantage in the Team Plasma mirror?

Wouldn't that be the same as saying Tropical Beach should be banned cause only a lucky few are able to get/afford one? Besides, I'm sure Plasma Kyurem would have no problem having a dance-off with Landorus in a TP Mirror.

Apparently other places sell Pokemon.
Maybe at Walgreens or Barnes & Noble?

Whenever I buy some Pokrmon cards from Walmart, the description just says "Poke Cards".
With the price of the item.

So maybe whomever is ordering this stuff, can't tell what items are what?
Plus there is still a TON of Dragon Vault cluttering the pegs, and older stuff (like those Arceus blisters) still rotting away.

Either that or they just don't care about those types of blisters anymore?
Since they do take up a ton of space, which is better used to sell other items.

I don't think there is any single blister promo things for Plasma Freeze at Target.
At least not that I have seen.

The blisters are available online. There are two promos in the blisters though so make sure you ask for landorus if given the option.

I did not explain all of my reasoning in the initial post. In my mind I was comparing this to the banning of the Dragons Vault cards prior to Regionals last Fall because of the limited and unequal availability of those cards to the player pool. Maybe ban is not the right term, since in the case of Dragons Vault, they were called “not legal” for play except for those that were reprints.

I can certainly buy a Landorus BW79 from the resell market, and the price will not bankrupt anyone. But a search just now on Ebay shows only two for sale, and neither is from the US (Singapore and UK). I think that demonstrates a distribution issue with those blisters that were supposedly released over one month ago. I am sure I am not the only TDK player that might want to play this card if I had it.

There are many more Tropical Beach cards for sale on Ebay, so does that mean that it is more prevalent than the Landorus? But I do agree somewhat that those with Tropical Beach do seem to have an unfair advantage on the rest of the player pool.

In this case I do not see much difference between this and Dragons Vault.

You can buy the Landorus Blister Promo from the UK website or Trollandtoad... It is available, but not in most stores.

Right, and same thing with Dragon Vault before Regionals. It's a similar situation, and even follows precedence from the promo Porygon. It's available in a very limited fashion.

I don't know about banning it, but it's yet another blister that didn't seem to make it to North America, for whatever reason. Did anyone find out yet with why they aren't bringing them over anymore?

It's odd since the Electrode/Moltres blisters have made their way over. It seems that the stores may pick and choose what to carry.

I wouldn't waste my breath asking about this promo. I created a whole thread a while back that specifically asked for Pokemon reps to give an answer on whether or not we will be getting not only the Plasma Freeze blisters, but the Plasma Storm blisters as well...all I got was a "I can't answer that question" response...

Here's a link to the thread:

What bothers me about all of this, though, is that they can answer questions about an upcoming unreleased product (Plasma Bast ETB), but not about one that has been released for a while now. I know I'm sounding really bitter, but from a collector's standpoint this whole situation is driving me crazy.

In the topic listed in the link above me, someone said that the 3 packs weren't even on a list to order from. I myself asked a comic store about it, and all they said was that the 3 packs don't sell too well (I guess in comparison of the regular packs).

Yeah, it's pretty annoying. I'm surprised that the topic got locked too! Would be nice to find out what's going on... Already I'm confused with the Luxio promo card. It only turned up everywhere but North America in Next Destinies, and then made into an "international pack" for Dark Explorers... I never even saw that for sale. At least I got Riolu, since it came as one of those checklane blisters. Had to get Luxio online.

Speaking of the Landorus card, does anyone know if that pack came with the checklist? I really like those with keeping track of what I have, and with the new checklane blisters, the Electrode pack I got didn't have that (or one of those sample packs, for that matter... I like collecting wrappers too...)
