That's ludicrous. Are Ness, Martin Moreno, Alex Brosseau, et al not GREAT players?


On another note, if they cap the seating to a power of two that's just stupid. Just give the appropriate number of byes during the first round. It might be unfair, sure, but it's better than turning away 300+ people.

Yup, no GREAT player has ever grinded. Not like our World Champ in Juniors had to Grind or anything.

I would rather use swiss format with double elimination(like it pretty much was before), maybe that's not your opinion, but it is mine.

Donks happen all the time with Tyrogue. Did you not go to Nationals?

Sometimes even the greatest players don't make it into Worlds. I've been there, and done that. Seen many of those great competitive players fall back and not make it in.

Takuto didn't grind in in 2009. He had an invite from coming 2nd the year before.

Was he the Former Juniors Champion who lost with DP Empoleon to Jeremy SK in and his Bannete EX deck in Hawaii the first year Worlds was there?

in the other LCQ post a representative of Pokemon already basically said that there is no cap for the grinder. Everyone will be accommodated.

Didn't Yamato do this in 2004? I could be wrong.

Yamato went undefeated in Japanese Nationals, which was run the day before Worlds in Orlando, but only for the Japanese players.
