Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Legends Awakened Virginia Prerelease Dates/Locations Photo Link Now Up!

So.... if we can get 30 for flight 2 preregistered, BOTH flights in Fairfax will have a shot at "those 62 green thingees"

Who loves you guys, huh??? :thumb:

Oh, yeah, the same holds true for VA Beach!! If any tourists are visiting this weekend, y'all are welcome, too!!

Heck, I may even throw in some brand new JPN cards, if you guys are nice!!

EVERYONE BE NICE!!! i mean... Hello Mr.T. Nice weather today wouldn't you agree? Care to join me for a cup of tea?
xDDD

Hey Mr T, Jimmy M. here.

Is there a chance for a draft on the 9th at hobby works?

I know you may not be able to because of the pre-release in VA beach, but I would love it if you

could do one!

Thanks.

Jimmy

draft of LA?? lets see whens august 9th.... oh, im dumb, i forgot its on the same day,... i would like a draft also but i think hes gonna be too busy, right? since you gotta pack for worlds and then theres the beach draft...

:eek::eek:
guess that kills an after draft!! Shadow Card, please let the good folks at HW know that their website needs some, ahem, updating with respect to their hours!!

doorprizes have been packed for Fairfax! Assuming 30 players per flight min, each player will receive a random JPN card C/U from Temple/Cry. I left trainers/supporters in, but removed basic energies, so you will get a "real" card!! In addition, one player from ea flight will receive:
Shaymin sleeves (not snow peas or edamame, sorry!)
rare card + basic metal or basic dark from Temple/Cry
holo from Temple/Cry
BK toy/card sealed

again, assuming 30 players min in the flight

plus all the packs for entering!! Not bad for $25!

And Dean, I've got your mascot for Worlds, too!

Shadow Card, please let the good folks at HW know that their website needs some, ahem, updating with respect to their hours!!
The power to edit the website belongs to their corporate office. On the store's level, they don't have that ability.

14 hrs. 17 mins.!

Can't wait since this is such an incredible set.

me want the green hedgehog sleeves!

Flight 1 is full. 8 people for its TDC

Flight 2 has 6 people, including Patrick T. About 6 people for its TDC.

There were still a lot of people I talked to today at league who weren't yet registered. I told them to come for Flight 2.

lol xDDD,,,,So i guess patrick is juding flight 1? cant wait!!! tomorow il be there bout 10:30... cant wait!!! only about less than 12 hours :)

Totoro,

Wasn't sure if we would we able to attend the PR for LA this time - which would be really rotten since you are going to be here at the Beach!

Happy to say we can attend the LA PR at Comic Kings... our gym leader sent out an email in an attempt to get a rough head count for you... we aren't in her count... so add 2 more for the TDC...

We can hardly wait! What a fun birthday week for both of us and what a way to celebrate my birthday than at a PR!!! Here's wishing for the legendary "Birthday Pokemon" to leave something very sparklie-shiny in one of my packs!!! LOL!!!

todays tournament went swell and it was AWESOME!!! although i didnt get anything good... :( cya at florida Mr.T!!!

Wow, a great day in Fairfax today!! 76 total unique players!! I guess the only bad news is that we are out of theme decks, so ledyba and others in VA Beach or Midlo, sorry. Cracking packs is fun, too!!!!

"swell"? charchar has discovered the 50s

Recap of the day:

At the start of the week, I really didn't know if we would break 50 players since the preregistration list was so empty.

Today, Flight 1 maintained its full status and flight 2 ended up about half full by the time 3 o'clock came around. A store employee said that people were calling this morning asking to register for flight 1 when it had already filled up the night before. I don't know how many walk-ins/waitlisted got in, but those of you who waited for the last minute to preregister *glances at charchar* probably don't want to risk that next time if you want flight 1. I also noticed there was preference by some for flight 2, hopefully a growing trend.

TDC filled up for both flights, blowing away expectations and breaking hearts in SoVA . Unlike the past 2 events where I saw TDC as an experimental, fun format (sorry, totoro :frown:), I really pushed the TDC this time for new people and those who said that their deck building skills were not as strong as they thought they needed to be. Sorry VA Beach + Midlo.

totoro, find a way to get those 16 players into the overall count on OP's webpage. It shows that TDC is gaining popularity in here. 76 unique players = wow. We may only be about 3 prereleases away from having to do 3 flights <-- that's right, I went there

Best part of the day: teaching a first grader the basics of multiplication. I remember I didn't learn multiplication until 3rd grade. I don't know when it's taught now, but explaining to him "anything multiplied by 0 (like 0 heads) is 0" and realizing that this game is teaching math was a real highlight.

Fairfax = great.

The only cards that I noticed needed a judge more than once was Jirachi (the DOOM attack which is only treated like a SPECIAL CONDITION and CAN simply be retreated away guys!) and the Unknown Vacation where people kept trying to heal more than once...lol

Alot of laughs. Alot of Totorro's "OK GUYS... I've got another door prize to give away" ...
(I won an Electvire powered hybrid Ford Tauros!!!! ... nah, i didn't win anything at all ... lol)

FEAR THE PIXIES!!

I actually saw alot of Stage 1s see action... kinda unusual for a prerelease eh ?

ALOT of thought and preperation went into that event. My fam is so impressed that we're getting up and heading for VA beach today to do it all over again :)

I'm not hard to spot. I'll be the one slamming down cards and screaming "DOMINO!!!!" <<<< that was only a joke....

Thanks to Totorro and his Wife (who is SO SO wonderfully nice & sweet), and Kev, and the judge for Boosters... who's name I just went blank on which is a shame because he REALLY gave my mildly disabled daugher so much assistance.

See ya all again in a few hours guys.

Just got back from VA Beach.

It was nice too!! Fairfax has ALOT of young-unz... but VA Beach had a strong supply of Teens (aka Seniors..)

Only lost 1 this time :)

Patrick and I tried to start a Side game (to test his worlds deck) like FIVE TIMES... and kept having to clean up and restart later (he was a judge and kept having to go do stuff LOL )

GOOD LUCK AT WORLDS MAN!!! Find a better way to get agressive by T2 man!!! More Rare candy ??

Anyway ...

GREAT JOB JUDGING IT Steve and Patrick!!

Shadow actually PLAYED rather than judged !! (can you believe it?!)

We had each other first round .. ahahahaaa... FEAR THE POOCH!!!

That was a really fun event, despite me going 1-3 with a bye and coming in last. I got some of the cards I wanted, and had some good laughs. I also met someone else with the same last name as me for the first time ever.
