Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Live action pokemon? Whats next, anime? Oh, wait.

That is REMARKABLY well done for a fan trailer. Those CGI Pokemon are pro, and the acting isn't terrible (or at least isn't as bad as The Last Airbender or DBZ). I would LOVE to see something like that made, even if it's just a fan film.

^I have to agree with you. The CG is incredibly good, to the point where it's actually believable that someone would make a movie with those graphics. And the acting is much better than *cough* a certain series about supernaturals in a wooded town who refract light. :p

In short, the creators are awesome, let's hope they generate enough interest to justify doing a full movie. :3

I imagine fan films, and other media homage, can test the bounds of tolerance for Nintendo as the controller of the content - especially in light of the recent cease and desist letters sent to several Pokemon fan sites.

While my guess is that they are not amused, I am pleased to have seen this before any possible legal threat forces this to be pulled from sites across the internet.

I think this fan fic movie trailer was an imaginative quality work, respecting the Pokemon canon, but asking "what if?" and taking the franchise into unexpected places. I found it both impressive and entertaining.

I just wish Pikachu didn't look so malnourished.

If only pokemon was this awesome,im kinda getting sick of the same old kids storylines of traveling place to place badge for badge. After seeing this trailer i felt like its the first time i woke up.
They should make more of this.

Pokemon last few years is a bore if they made a teenage/adult version that would be awesome.

I dont understand why not have pokemon for all ages.
ages 2-5 rated G, 6-12 rated Pg, 13 and up pg13 then rated R.

Have different shows for different age groups.

All in favor of Vaporeon making a movie- vote now!
( hah! Vaporeon, how ya like me now?-)

^ rated R pokemon movie? lol- life like violence with a smart mouthed meowth and a nasty life like grousome hyperbeam from Salamance..... hmmmm....
For ages 2-5 - Is nt that what Pokemon SNAP! was for?
Ages 13 and up- hah hah heh heh...... a love story between Ash and Misty done in the form of Ashton Kutcher and the girl from Transformers - a few Pokemon battles, some "wierd" moments from team rocket- hmmmmmm.....

( hay Vaporeon, taking notes? )

All in all, I do think that we American's can handle some more "mature" aspects to the series, as the episodes in Japan make the series worth while........

A life like movie though would require some seriouse thought and a Film producer who could realy make the movie awesome when the director has what it takes to bring such a 'toon come to life- like Avatar (< imo)

but let me say this- NO on G.Lucas making the movie or Spielburge for that matter-
Speielburge would have no believable pokies cuz he wouldn't get the pokies moves correct and the plot would be rediculous, and Lucas will have an overload of special effects that will only be a movie of eye candy and bad pokie choices- and besides, Chewbaca would make an appearence somehow while Mewtwo uses the "force"........

( keeping up Vaporeon? )

So- I do give great amount of credit to the person who made this attempt- well done in that area.

One last thing: What is more Dangerouse then Mewtwo with a tommy gun? Mewtwo turning the bullets BACK on the bad guys WITHOUT a tommy gun for himself!

LOL! That's the funniest post i've seen ALL day!

^ was said that pokies are traded for guns, and the tommy gun is my fave and more gangster style in the old school way.
But- if ya want a better gun- I think the laptop gun from the game Perfect Dark ( n64 days ) is an option.

Or a "street sweeper" A sawed off semi automatic triple ot buck shotgun with duel bannana clips will make swiss cheeze out of anything in a single trigger pull.

This list of gun upgrades could get bigger- but- I favor old school classic gangster- so take that Al Capone!

Lol, I thought this thing was AMAZING!!! The CGI/sound fx needed some work, but otherwise, this was very well done!

He tried a little too hard on the puns, but it was still pretty cool. I would pay money to see that. Too bad it's fake. :frown:
