Hope everyone had a wonderful night. We should be starting Round 1 of Top 32 by 9am. Once the round is finished and I know Top 16 for each age group, I'll let everyone know. :thumb:
 
9am.. is that GMT-5 so 2pm UK, 3pm Europe?

Who is Michael C? I thought he might be M Collins but I'm not at all sure. I think I have all the names for the masters figured out but for maybe three.

The burning question is will all the top 8 make it to worlds either through nationals or ratings?

I don't know the actual records but here's my best guess..

Michael C 10-0 vs. Shawn G 8-2

Jay H 8-2 vs. Nick K 9-1
Emmanuel D 8-2 vs. Alex B 8-2

Looks like Michael C, and at least one of aaron C and Rob D are going to hawaii. Eric C should make it too even if he loses to Adam V. Alex B still looks like he has to win one more match to secure an invite.

This is getting exciting, if they televise spelling bees and hot dog eating contest why do they not televise Pokemon Championships!

Win or lose it looks like Eric makes in to Hawaii. The others still have to win to guarantee a place.

I think that Michael C will get a ratings invite. Alex B is going to be very close as there were MX players above him prior to nats.

[edit: some back peddling due to my not realising that there were three MX players above Alex. ]

Actually, Ian B's brother is going (Top ranked Senior), so Ian will be going one way (Top 4) or the other (as guardian).

I have Eric C finishing the year on 2082 or so. Which looks like it leaves Arco as the only player to break the 2100 barrier this year. I have Alex B finishing on 1977. So Alex finishes USA Nationals T8 and his rating stays the same. Alex is going to be on the hairy edge of a ratings invite. You would think that a T8 finish at USA nationals would be enough to ensure that the #10 player in the NA region gets an invite, but it looks rather tight.

Does anyone know if J Kettler, R Cawthon, or J Hill played?

15 min. was just called for the TOP 4. As soon as we know the pairings for the final round. I'll post them :thumb:
