Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Lost in the set

hhhmmm i like the idea but pokeplayer said that energy acceleration (he said sceptile) is a waste of space for deck with low energy costs in other words 3 or less energies 4 plus add it

I am working on a Cherrim/Scizor/Vespiquen deck. Will be testing it out at league on Friday to see how well it works.

I built it out ... if you get a FAST build, it'll do pretty good.

HOWEVER... I keep coming up against Fire decks OR decks that take her down quickly.

The concept of adding to attack SOUNDS great.. but think of the max you can do with 3 cherrims + 2 Vespiqueens ... THEN.. .think of a single pokemon that can do that much damage by himself without maxing out bench space!
THEN.. think of having that one pokemon active plus another couple on the bench ...
THEN .. you'll come to the conclusion that other decks are more efficient.

On paper, the concept of Cherrim + Vespiqueen is BEAST .. but when you test it.. it becomes another "just for fun" deck and nothing you'd consider taking to cities...

The biggest problem I have with Vespiqueen is that you don't get it's full effect unless you are losing. It also works much better with a full bench of Grass types, which is another major concern. With Scramble gone, falling behind is generally a good way to just stay behind. Filling your bench is just asking someone to play Warp Point and drop a Dusknoir and completely destroy whatever you are trying to set up. Vespiqueen is one of those cases where it looks much better than it plays.
