20 Pokemon

4-4-3-1 Gengar Prime, Lv X
2 Spiritomb TM
2 Mr. Mime CL
2 Uxie
2 Azelf

28 Trainers, Supporters, and Stadiums

3 Broken Time Space
2 Lost World
4 Twins
3 Bebe's
4 Seeker
3 Collector
2 PONT
1 Palmer's
3 Rare Candy
2 Warp Point
1 Luxury Ball

Energy: 12

7 Psychic
3 Rescue Energy
2 Warp Energy

Strategy:

Obviously, Gengar's objective is to Hurl Lost pokemon from the player's hand into the lost zone. Using Mr. Mime to see if there are pokemon in their hand (and how many, so I know how much energy to apply), I can use the Spiritomb to make them shuffle their hand back in with a good chance of drawing new pokemon. I throw down Lost World once six are removed.

I considered using Palkia G/Lv X like in most LostGar combos, but that also means that I jeopardize my own bench by filling it up. The best things to get rid of by using a Palkia G would be my pixies, but that also means that I can't Seeker those back up, which may put me a turn behind if I have to pick up a Gengar.

Using two Azelfs since the objective of the deck is not to draw prize cards.

-1 Azelf (if you must use azelf again) seeker is there to the rescue
-1 Mr.Mime
-1 Haunter
-1 or 2 Bebe's
-1 Spiritomb (TM) (or you can keep it, 2 seems good as well)

+ 2 VS Seeker (will let you reuse seekers)
+ 1 Unown Q (to cure bad starts)
+ 1 Warp Point (if your going to run warp point I would suggest running 2 as 1 is not dependable at least IMO)
+ 1 Luxury Ball (why don't you run this?)

Other possibilities include running 3-4 lookers. So that way you get to look at there hand without using mime for the turn, then if you don't find any pokes have them shuffle there hand. Then use mime. Then if that fails, drop tomb and have them shuffle their hand and redraw again.

Hope I can be helpful for once :thumb:

I definitely need a luxury ball. I can't believe I forgot it! The only reason I'm not running q is because my Gengars/Haunters have free retreat, and I have warp energies/warp points to Twins to my hand if I get Luxray'd/Regice'd.

I actually didn't want to run looker's, since that would make having Mr. Mime/Spiritomb redundant. I wanted to make my deck able to give me an unplayed hand to Hurl Lost, without wasting my supporters that I need to keep my deck running and fill my bench.

I can either:
-Use the Spiritomb first, if I know from their previous turn that they don't have any Pokemon left in their hand (if I Hurled Lost last turn, didn't get any, and they placed the pokemon they drew into on their bench). I can then Mr. Mime to see how many are there post-shuffle.
-OR, I can use the Mr. Mime first to scope out their hand if I don't know it's contents, and choose whether or not to use Spiritomb to shuffle.

The last thing I should do in a turn is use a Seeker, when there aren't any more pokemon after I've made them shuffle. That'll guarantee me at least one to send to the Lost Zone.

If I use lookers, I miss out on the opportunity to use any of my other supporters and get set up on my bench. Ideally, I'll have my 1 Active Gengar, and my bench would have 1 Gengar, 1 Mr. Mime, 1 Spiritomb, leaving two places for pixies to be used.

I'm using two of each to minimize their chances of being caught in my prize cards. If I have to place an Azelf, that takes up more spots on my bench. I could try to Seeker it away, but that's only in the chance that I've drawn one. I'm keeping two Azelfs in case one ends up in my prize cards.

You could always run Looker's over PONT, the difference is one card, and it can give you insight into your opponent's hand
without showing them the plan that you've got cooking.

I agree that 2 Azelf is too much with seeker, and you probably only need one Mr. Mime, as you run Azelf
and you wouldn't use his effect twice unless they Power Spray. If they power sprayed Mr. Mime, there is a good
chance that they have a Pokemon in hand anyhow.

Try 3 Spiritomb AR to help you set up your Gengars faster when you have bad starts, and it trainer locks SP
and other decks.

I agree that teh Mr. Mine is unnecessary, I woiuld also take out teh Gengar level X for teh SF one, or teh AR curse one, I have found in playtesting, the level X is worthless unless you are running a trainerlock version of lostgar, in which case you can use it for teh Dialga G matchup. And the worthlessness is even true vs dialga G without Vileplume in your deck. It just never cut it enough to make it worth having, many many times I wished it was something else, and never wished i had it.
