Low Quality Releases

Funny, I found the pop 6 packs as a way to make the game more accessible to newer, younger players. Mommy and Daddy don't have to pay a pile of money on the off chance that they'll get a lucario in their DP packs, which are probably out of print already. It's hard for them to get strong rares like lucario and ramparados, now they actually have a chance, while driving up support for the game by attending league.

magic has had nothing but reprints as promos forever
pokemon's promo's are almost always new cards
we have reason to complain, MtG players do not

I have to agreee....it is very low quality. I'm not dsaying the cards had to be uber great, but at least be new.

Also, I'm very glad Garchomp Lv. X was not included. Cards like that could ruin everything >.>

This thread is a joke imo, it isnt because the set need DP era cards and it certianly isnt POP/PUI fault. I know for a fact, that Mike and all of the people at POP/PUI know exactly what the players want, but are usually handcuffed by what PCL and Japan will let them release. Trust me, they try very hard to get us stuff we want, but a lot of times that is were they are denied what they really want. I would think Mike and the rest of PUI/POP most likely expect reaction like this based on what has happened previously. They do a great job. Just see how much Pokemon has grown since PUI/POP took over and that should be all you need to know.

I'm curious as to why the mindset/strategy between PUI and PCL would be so different? What would the reason be to "handcuff" PUI as if it's wrong in some way for them to give to players what they want? What would PCL's agenda be instead, and what would they possibly know that PUI doesn't in regard to making OP the best it can be?

Well PCL might not allow PUI to reprint trainers/energies that they would not want to see legal at Worlds. Remember that the Japanese have to play our format at Worlds and if they don't want certain cards legal with the new cards they are reprinting (because of possible broken combos or other reasons), they can definitely say which cards PUI can and cannot reprint.

Reprinting some common trainers wouldnt really hurt
Seeing Tv Reporter (which is still in the format) in the packs would have made me about 2000 times happier
Meh, at least the art on the cards is nice...
