Hey everyone!

After building deck after deck of non-meta decks, even going as far as kecleon, i decided i wanted to take nationals seriously this year, and decided to make a proper deck. So i though, why not luxchomp? It works after all. I tried it out at a recent battle road, and got 1st place with it, but then again that isn't saying much. So I've decided to post this here hoping to get some good advice on how i can make it better, and possibly more consistant.

Pokemon (18)
2-2 Luxray
2-2 Garchomp
2 Crobat
1 Bronzong
1 Promocroak
1 lucario
1 Azelf
1 Unown G
1 Ambipom
2-1 uxie

Trainers (29)
4 cyrus
3 roseannes
1 pokemon collector
1 bebes
4 Energy gain
4 Poke-turn
3 Powerspray
1 Lookers Investigation
3 SP-Radar
1 Luxury Ball
2 Premier Ball
1 Aaron's collection

Energy (13)
4 DCE
4 Call Energy
3 Electric
1 Psychic
1 Warp

The idea of the deck is to keep it simple, yet complicated at the same time. It's job is to get the cards out that you need, not dawdle around and get on with KOing your opponents pokemon. I have considered putting dialga G in this deck, but recently it has decreased in popularity, and i feel its too slow for this deck style, although i'll see how much Mewtwo is being played.

So basically, the main point of the deck is speed, getting all the cards you need out fast, and it works like a charm.

Some cards that may not be common:

Ambipom, which hopefull you do know about is a great tech card, and a donker. You can give it double colorless at the start of the game to do 60 if you go first, or move an energy from the defending pokemon to one of your opponents benched pokemon. This may not seem like much, but if you're playing against a competitive player, they are more likely to conserve their energies as much as possible, and if you switch it to something that you have no intention of killing, then it can really mess them over.

Purugly is something which i've just tried to put in recently, i'm not sure if i really want to keep it in there, as it's retreat cost is much too high, and it can only do 20 damage, and can be a waste of a poketurn, although its a single tech against shuppet. Although dialga is also a good tech card, it can lead to 3 slots, instead of this pokemon just being one.

I'm sure most of you know what this card does, something to kill common threats such as luxray in one hit for one energy + E-gain, then use its pokepower to bring it back to safety the next turn, seeing as 90HP is about enough to usually live one hit from most things.

Thanks for checking out the decklist, feel free to leave any suggestions, as they are all welcome and appreciated :D

It will aid your consistency and they will make your Gyarados matchup much more favorable.

You obviously have no idea how good ambipom is. shifting the DCE on the defending pokemon to something not useful like claydol can really screw up the opponent. And it's second attack gives it a possibility to donk with DCE. I'd be happy with taking out one power spray though, although it also shuts down gyara, negating regice and luxray.

Actually, i did take out a Roseanne's and put in a pokemon collector, which worked well i admit, but taking out 4 is ridiculous. A lot of the time you need to get pokemon AND energy, which neither Cyrus' and Pokemon Collector can do.

I could try 3 Roseanne's and 1 Pokemon Collector, or 2 Roseanne's and 2 pokemon collector though.

EDIT: Changed Luxray Line to 2-2 Better or worse?
