Max potion

Can I use max potion on a Pokemon with no damage or energy on it to burn a card from my hand? Also, can I use max potion on a Pokemon energy on it but no damage to discard all energy? Thanks.

No. Pokemon does not allow you to play cards just to "burn" them.
Discarding energy does not count as a use for the card.
So you have to choose a Pokemon with damage on it to play Max Potion.
