If japan has had many (succesful) sets of promo cards available in McDonalds why hasn't PUI done this in America?
I know the card game is not that popular anymore, but most kids would still enjoy them a lot, since happy meals are for little kids and they don't know about if the PKMN hype is no longer huge, they'll love having cartoon cards and it would even bring a lot of kids to play the game.

If McDonalds doesn't want to they could get BurgerKing or Wendy's whove had PKMN before and it was succesful, they also seem to be more into taking risks of what type of toys they give in happy meals.

That's what I was wondering. That would be great, because I would pick up many, many, Happy Meals, due to the fact that I just love it when they give cards away! ;)

What do you think made Aqua/Magma an e-set? :)

I wish they would give out Pokemon cards at McDonalds, too. It would probably get more attention from kids then the Target Food Center.

It was the 12 card set from the chocolate promotion, which also included the Chars, of which mander and meleon were FRLG and TRR boxtoppers respectively. Charizard is still lost somewhere........

The previous McDonalds set was Sceptile (POP), Blaziken (Not released in US yet), Swampert (POP), Minun (HL) and Plusle (HL).

McDonalds had packs before those though, that included 3 Pokemon, one holo, and 2 foil energy.

Promotions like this would be a GREAT way to draw new, and old, players into the game, and it'd give the core base something fun to collect.

Yes - its the one from the newer Meiji set, which POP Series 1 was mostly made of The twelve cards were:

Beautifly (POP), Masquerain (POP), Blaziken (POP), Surskit (POP), Minun (POP), Plusle (POP), Deoxys (Deoxys #16), Torkoal (POP), Swellow (POP), Rayquaza (POP), Murkrow (POP), Metagross (POP)

So the Hoenn starters in POP were:
Sceptile from McD
Blaziken from Meiji
Swampert from McD

Meijis (Although no Blaziken pic) - POP Blaziken came from there
McDonalds Blaziken - Notice its the same illus as the POP Sceppy and Swampz

edit: Meiji Blaziken - the one from POP1

We never had McDo promo cards here but occasionally we get Pokemon toys as Happy Meals. Wish we had these cards but I think it really won't appeal to the market because some people misunderstand them as a 25 cent inked cardboard being sold at a high price.

No, what they should do Is make an really GOOD set for POP packs this time, I mean not a single pop pokemon was good last time, there was no reason to even get them exept to collect the set (which I still am one away from, after 35 packs and lots of trades!) good cards are easy to come by in japan and I can't figure out why. an EX in every theme deck!? I mean what did we get in our last theme decks? crappy deoxys and the worst dragon in the long history of dragons in card games. plus I think vincent is right, America needs to slim down, we should give away these cards for NOT going to mcD instead. (btw, used to weigh like 300 lbs and had to lose like 100 so I HATE fast food, my views my be bias)

I know this is offtopic but you can't blame fast food for weight problems, i eat a lot of fast food and exercise and weight 138 lbs. If you don't do anything to keep your weight down then ofcourse you are going to gain weight.

It's not just about weight. Fast food is very, very bad for you. We make a mistake of judging health by size, which is simply not accurate.

It's very bad for you if that is all you eat, of course you need to eat other stuff that has vitamins/proteins,.
