What’s up…this is a deck I’ve been working on that does very well. Of course Metagross is not in the deck, the name reflects the current environment.

This deck is very balanced and works very quickly. It gives Shiftry, Normals and Electric decks nightmares and since there is plenty of water going around—it matches well against them as well.

They key is playing with the Stadiums wisely (yes, the good-old days of Gym Wars) , but because of the still-strong Psychic decks out there, the 3x Ancient Tombs are critical. More and likely this won’t last past Fire/Red-Green/Leaf, but it could evolve with the changes.

LMK what you think and if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

My friend is using a Machamp deck similar to that for the worlds. But hes not using TA tric's and trike's.

Here is what i'd do
4 Machop
3 Machoke
4 Machamp
3 magnaton
3 magnamite
3 Groudon ex
3 Dunsparce
23 pokemon

1 Magnetic storm
2 Ancient tomb
3 CC
4 steven's Advice
3 Tv reporter
1 Town volunteers
3 Briney's compassion
3 PETM
2 ATMR
22 trainers

3 Lighting
4 DRE
8 fiighting energy
i think this maybe be good as well with Groudon for heavy damage in case u don't get machamp.

The Electrikes and Manectrics are very solid. They are the best Lightning Pokes for my style--very straight forward without the discarding or self-damage issue--with solid damage and 80HP. They've been the most effective.

Groudon ex is cool and if I wanted to include it I wouldn't use but one. Because of the environment and the metagame, I stay away from them (EX) a bit.

Thanks for the inputs. For now, I'll stick with 4x Sparce, but I may take one out. The deck works better when the Machop starts--it KO's the opponent's Sparces very quickly, but I still like filling my bench first ;)

The only thing I question with a list like this is how it handles Blaze. That's still the best deck in the format, so you have to give it some credence, even if this is built mostly to handle the Blaze-counters.

I understand the whole +30 on attacks thing, but you still don't OHKO a Blaziken ex. They can't OHKO the Machamp either, but in a long game I'm giving the advantage to the targetable 100.

Maybe Desert Ruins since you don't run any ex yourself? Is that enough? I don't know. I just don't see this beating Blaze consistantly, which you'll have to do in any major event. There's the ATM Rock I guess, but that's still looking at two attacks and after you take out Bex you're without a main hitter up while they can just Rare Candy to another or use normal Blaziken/Rayquaza to mop up.

So yeah, I'd test vs Blaze before considering this deck for anything serious.

Hey Cory! It's great to see you! I hope I'll get to meet you in person at Worlds--after all these years ;)

Anyway, yes... It's 40/60 against Blaze--of course. But the way the field looks against Blaze decks, Machamp has a much better chance to hang in there.

I would love to work with Ruins, but this deck can't afford it against Metagross and GuardEx. I would rather keep the consistancy and take my chances against Blaziken. As I stated, this deck won't make it after PreRelease.

As far as the Rock...dude...it "Rocks!!"...it's been a life saver in this deck.

The Rock, indeed, is a good decision.

I'll be at Worlds, playing in the main event if I can get through in the grinder. That shouldn't be too much of a problem though. It's just a top eight and the competition should be mostly local as most of the good people either have invites or don't have parents who'll fly to Orlando on the trust that they'll t8 the grinder. If it doesn't work out I'll be doing side events and hanging out with people and stuff. So, yeah, I'll keep an eye out for you.
