Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Mew Prime Potential!

i would just run a whole array of pokemon that are hard to set up. or hit hard for just about nothing... u can add in the highest evoltins and destroy that way... horrible idea... but it can maybe work

i created a deck that used mew prime and relicanth.

it ran:
2 flygon x
2 garchomp c x
2 machamp
2 jumpluff
1 garchomp sv
1 water arceus
4 mew prime
4 relcanth

the idea was to use relcanth to send what ever pokemon was needed for that situation to the lost zone and draw cards so mew prime could attack to counter anything that came its way. flygon x was to snipe xs, garchomp c x was to snipe anything weak off, machamp was to take out sps, jumpluff was used as a heavy hitter when needed, garchomp sv was to take down machamp, and water arceus was for umbreon, mewtwo and shed. it fell apart because dialge g shut it off.

I'm sure the card has some uses, and it's an interesting enough idea that someone could break it, but I'm not seeing it. The Gyarados idea is the only one I've even remotely liked.

If you are referring to Celebi Prime, I don't see how that would work since Celebi's attack clearly states "all damage done to Celebi...". Other than that Mew Prime with Machamp's takeout should be a popular one.

My buddy is also running a Mew Prime/Gyarados deck right now, it runs fairly well, 120 for free a pretty sweet.

Attacks like that are self-referencing. If the name of the Pokemon can be replaced by "This Pokemon", then it has to be treated as such.
Thats why it works with Celebi.
Lack of Multi Energy and Roseanne make it less viable as I had hoped. Anyone know some good low-energy Psychic attackers not named Nidoqueen? Im drawing a blank.

Is this confirmed? I am planning a deck revolving around mew being able to use attacks like that so I want to make sure it's guaranteed.

It's a VERY old ruling and has been that way for a very, very long time.

It's absolutely confirmed.

Mew only has 60 HP but who cares. hen you can use Take Out, Dragon Rush, Mass Attack,Shadow Roam,or any other cheap attack, its worth it. Dialga G LvX is a pain, but its always ways to play around. Mew is underrated to me.

I agree, hes underrated. Especially since there are so many other pokemon he can copy! from MD- to now. People have only begun to scratch the surface, only seeing whats useful in the current meta don't forget about the past!

Just a fun little thought I haven't seen yet, Garchomp X. You know, the MD one. If you somehow get him Lost Zoned, you can just insta-restore stuff. Its less work then actually setting up the bloody thing. You could have it work like...Start with Mew, lost zone Chomp X...then go about your regular game, then mid-game bring out Mew again, restore something and voila.

Restore is even a free attack! It could definitely help those decks that have trouble bouncing back after a knockout.

WHYWHYWHY ISN'T MULTI ENERGY STILL LEGAL? D:

If it was, Jumpluff+Machamp+Kingdra=win. But without it, I think Mew Prime can still be good. I like the idea of running it with SPs and a Cyrus engine. It could potentially also work with Absol Prime.

Hey with snowpoint temple and an expert belt mew's hp is up to 100. Can't rainbow energy be abused to attack with jumpluff, kingdra, and machamps attacks?

Yea but 10 damage (rainbow energy) to a 60hp pokemon... if he wasn't a glass cannon before...

Never knew about that card actually, would help a good amount. I am trying to make a mew deck but jeez...the whole deck would seem to run on such thin ice...which I love lol. With a rainbow + snowpoint mew has...70 hp. That's still scary considering both luxray and garchomp can knock it out in one turn.

I was thinking more of a toolbox build with Garchomp X. You could get Mews back and energize them, then attack with Gliscor, to avoid damage, Umbreon, to stall, and others. Also ran Togekiss for shedding damage counters.

It works pretty okay.
