We had set up for the game to start but had not begun. I had a turn 1 pidgeot in my hand, and they called deck check on us :(
Yes, and you made sure everyone at the tournament knew that too. ^_~!

Lets not forget the best win of the day.

Drew won the POP Logo'd iPod Nano as the grand door prize.

I think that may be given away next week also.

Kudos to Derek for the coolest door prize

woah--PROVIDED by POP?? or was that donated by a judge or something?

Yeah Chuck, Fulop, Jason, and myself are members of The Elite Four with a combined record of 27-5 (Three of the losses were me beating Ness, and Ness beating Fulop twice) this weekend. Not bad.

FINALLY Drew manages to win something. Stick to door prizes, because Pokemon ain't your game :D

The worst part is that he already HAS an ipod. What about the Mosser? HE NEEDS PORTABLE MP3S!!

I beat Celio's BSP in that game regardless of the restart and if we ever play again, AJ, I won't make any mistakes :(

I don't think anyone understands the level of competition we see up here...

If Michigan/Ohio/Indiana/Illinois is hands down the best Region of pokemon players in the world.

I don't know exact Stats but here are some rough estimates for JUST the Top 8

4/8 were Worlds Invitee's last year, Jason(t16), Moss(T32), Myself and Fulop

Between the T8 that I know about, I counted Jason(4) Fulop(2) Myself(1) Eric(2) Tracy(1) Jeff(1) so 11 City Championship Winners, possibly more!.

Matt M: T4 GL Regionals, T32 Worlds
Jason K: T4 PA Regionals, T16 Worlds, T8 Nats
AJ D: T4 Nats, T4 GL Regionals
Chris F: T2 Worlds, T2 Memphis REG, among other things..

Absolutely Ridiculous:) Making T8 at an event like this one is like winning 5 OTHER States=D

No this wasn't provided by POP. The only thing they provided was permission to use the logo. They are lazer etched by Apple exclusively for my tournaments. I own the contract for these. They aren't cheap either. Yes there will be one available at the Indiana States also. There will also be one for each age group as a door prize at the Great Lakes Regional.

Yeah, this region is ridiculous. AJ didn't even count the past accomplishments of many of those players outside of last years events. Plus the good players who did not go. Sean Foisy is also a very strong player.

Wow though Moss, that Elite Four looks like quite the team. How'd that one happen. Jeeze.

Congrats to Spencer Duncan for winning 10 and under. And yeah this is Jeff M. Of Team Trouble and the owner of the Sunflora deck that did better than I thought! It beat a Wobby/Medicham deck and also Nidoqueen as well as Eric's deck. Eric coulda won if he had knocked out my Parasect T2 but he let me build up! All in all it was a great day!

thats cool that you put money into making these.
too bad they are only at those states--i live in NJ, so, the best i can do is stick a POP sticker on the back of my psp. =P

Interestingly enough, there were two members of the Elite Four in t2, and one member of the Elite Four found lying at the bottom of the pool later that night.

i gotta agree with AJ, this tournament was pretty insane, and the level of play was amazing. expect similar situations in Indiana and Illinois
