Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Midwest Trading Card Game Regional Championship April 12-14, 2013

Just an FYI for everyone, the room block expired and the cheapest room at the Holton is $169. Puke.

Hey Jimmy, any chance they can open up a few rooms for the block?

I'm looking forward to the event! As long as the Internet connection from the venue hasn't changed since last year, we should be able to stream this live - provided we get permission. See you guys in a few weeks.

Bumped with major updates to the first post...

Sorry Andy,
I tried to call the hilton and they wouldnt budge on extending the dates. My suggestion at this point is hotwire. They will get you pretty close....

2 more weeks, OMG...

Jimmy

As an FYI, the Main Hall is on the bottom most floor, while the Hall of Ideas is on level 4.

Will Top Cut Comics be purchasing cards, and at what prices? I have my whole collection ready to hand over to you guys.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're probably purchasing at the same (or similar) rates that they were at WI and IL States.

Also, it looks like Camille is looking for some help for her Activity Center. PM or Email her if you'd like to help out.

Hi Everyone!
I know in this topic it says that registration for TCG is 9 to 10:30 AM on Saturday, but I just checked the facebook event page and it claims that registration is actually from 8 to 9:30. Can someone straighten this out for me? Thanks!

Assume earlier rather than later. The post on TPCi's website says 9-10:30. But you can't go wrong showing up earlier than that ^_^.

Since this thread also has a schedule for the rest of the day, it would make sense that 9:00 - 10:30am is accurate.

Furthermore, the official sanctioned tournament on Pokemon.com says 9:00 - 10:30am.

Got the Facebook page fixed an updated with the time schedule.

Also a reminder to any of you coming from the south of Rockford on I90 going north to Madison, I believe there is road construction that takes it down to one lane from Elgin to Rockton Rd, (details here) so make sure you allow plenty of extra time or possibly even check into an alternate route. You really would not want to be late due to road construction!

Good luck to all my travelling friends this weekend!

I think a lot of Worlds Tickets may be "punched" this weekend.

I am happy to hear there will be a great Seniors HJ!!! (Not me...)

If anyone is booking last minute tonight check expedia! I did some research and pulled off an unpublished rate and got the hotel for $56 a night!

We're allowed to bring backpacks with our stuff in it to carry around with us, correct? I haven't been to a tournament in about two years now (and never one in Masters, oh boy...) so I can't remember exactly how things work and I don't want to clog up a bunch of space ^^;;

Well the less you bring probably the better. You have to keep track of your belongings, keep your bag at your feet, not to mention having to tote it around all day, so I'd pack light if it were me.

Stuff is packed and am getting ready to head up to Madison soon! Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

Parking at the Monona Terrace Convention Center is $5 all day on Sunday on Sunday, so it's convenient to keep extra stuff stashed in there too. If it's the same as last year, it's not a far walk.
