miscut cards

are miscut cards that rare in pokemon? i have a miscut darumaka promo(came with packs and a tiny binder) and was wondering how rare it actually is

Depends on how miscut the card is. A bunch of cards are cut with disproportional borders. It is really only significant if there is a border missing or if part of another card is showing on it.

I use to see it in sports cards sometimes and I thought that it degraded the value because card shops didnt want them and never acknowledged them as being a true error.

Same people thinks a little smudge on a card is a misprint but thats not really the case either.

Typically no. If it is dramatic like This it might be worth something. There is no real consistency in price.

In case it wasn't clear in Scott's post, the front looks just like a regular energy, it isn't miscut at all.

You could yes. They aren't very common though, just keep your eyes open, ask around with different people etc.
