Now come on, these things are good. I cannot find any font that would work on a Fake Card that is Japanese. There might be, or might not be. However, I don't know how the Japanese arrange their packs, but don't they usually include a holographic or rare card? They all look common. If Cascade is behind this, it wouldn't be the first time. I remember one time over at PC when he created a Gardevoir card that had 3 types and claimed it to be real by making it look like it was from ebay.
 
Right. This has gotten out of hand now. Too much bashing of WPM and this ain't fair on him considering he's 100% right...

For the sake of all parties, I'll come clean. Cascade made these images, and made them extremely impressively, and I helped get the word out. We were hoping this would turn out to be a pretty good hoax, which it WAS, since so many people believed the fake and are still even doubting it now. Even after WPM's blatant evidence that they were fake, I've spotted some people trying to find ways to prove they're real.

WPM found out that they were fakes and didn't want Cascade to get eaten alive, so he revealed the fakes without mentioning the names, which got him a lot of bashing. We apologise sincerely, WPM, we didn't want that to heppen.

In the meantime... aren't these the most realistic fakes you have ever seen? I'd say Cascade's getting better by the minute :D
 
Okay, two things to say here.

1. Not a good idea. I mean seriously, show the fakes, and say their fakes. Don't show the fakes and act like they are real, trying to get people to believe them. That isn't correct at all. These are GREAT fakes, but I feel people would have maybe complimented them more if they knew they were fakes.

2. So what if people know Cascade made them. Nobody is going to send bad emails to Cascade. A simple, this was made by Cascade, and a message from Cascade like, "Yeah, I made these fake things." and maybe a picture of the pokemon without the background would have been enough. Nobody would have eaten alive Cascade. And because nobody posted the creator's name, or statements from the real creator, this evolved into a big incident where people really thought they were real, and it was WPM all by his lonesome trying to prove they weren't.

I feel bad for WPM, but like I said, a simple statement from Cascade, a simple picture from Cascade with proof that they were fake would have solved everything. Heck, I would have believed it if WPM and 1 other person would have said that Cascade made them, without the picture proof.

Let's not try that again, please?

Fangking Omega and Cascade Gonpory are among the best there is. If no one has seen the Acanthite set they are making, take a look. It's grand.

So what if they are fake? Big deal. Move on.

Dude, it's a bit of fun. Did anyone flame Purple Kecleon and the like for their fake starters?

Hoaxes are part of the fun of a new Pokémon game coming out. Lighten up a bit :)
 
I'm light lol, I am. It's just you can allow something to go as far as you want, and when it starts involving websites and arguements, I just feel it's time to call the ruse off, and just give out the straight information.

You fooled many though.

I think that anyone who tries to deceptive about anything deserves this. Though poor innocent WPM was dragged into it as well...:frown:
 
The cards are fake so the pokemon is fake. Yeah, I know, I liked the pokemon too.

Well yeah, we had to call it off - it totally wasn't fair on WPM and I have a lot of respect for him and his site - didn't deserve to be bashed.

It's fun for a while. The frightening thing is how believeable this hoax was. It simply got out of hand :(

And it's not often a hoax is THAT believable.
 
Well this hoax occured at the perfect time for it to occur. We know the japanese are going to get a D/P set. The starters were just revealed and it made sense to maybe see a few promotional cards with them on it. Add in that we have only see maybe 10 of the pokemon from the new region and that the fake pokemon was drawn in a style very much like the others. It was planned very well and if it wasn't planned, then you got lucky that it landed in such a good time and place. I bet if you tried this again in 3 months or 3 months ago, it would have flopped.
 
Guys, don't get mad at Fangking or Cascade. That's specifically why I did not mention them in my original post. It was people at GameFaqs and some other Pokemon sites that were bashing me (and still are), not here, so you don't have to apologize. :p
 
THESE fakes are mine! and boy was this planned! I am sorry Water Pokémon Master, but im sure you understand and forgive me! I'll release EVERY image of the cards to prove they were me!... "KITTUNDER" is an Elecric cat Pokémon designed by me for DATRIOTS game "TROPICA"!

Well im a member of PTCO and Gfaqs and its not me, if it makes you fill better but i would still like to talk to you WPM.
