Motor Drive and Cell Battery

If a Pokemon with the Ability Motor Drive is hit by an Electric-type move, would the Pokemon still receive the effects of the Cell Battery it is holding while also gaining the effects of its Ability?

As in, if an Electivire is holding a Cell Battery, would its Speed(Motor Drive) AND Attack(Cell Battery) get a boost or is one effect cancelled out by the other?

Also would the same be true for Volt Absorb?

I'd like to know before i consider investing in a Cell Battery, because i pondered this before and thought up a possible Doubles strategy.

Abilities come first, then Hold Items. Cell Battery will not activate, it is cancelled since Motor Drive will activate first.

Yes, that is also true for similar abilities and items.

Baring the ability being "suppressed", Skill Swapped or Worry Seeded.
Also Electric/Water Attacks being used by a Pokemon with Mold Breaker, would ignore the abilities completely, activating the item. As Would Electric attacks from Zekrom, and Black Kyurem.
