What happened to the talks on team play/father son etc.?

~David's Confused Pokedad~

I have spoken with the BIG CHEESE at "PUI". At this time, we are not allowed to run a "prerelease" with the "Team Multiplay" format.:frown: But, I was told that we could run the "Booster Draft" with the "Team Multiplay" format. So, please give me feedback on the "Side Event~Booster Draft" as a "Team Multiplay" event. Do those that will be playing want to do this :smile: or not :mad: .

Thanks.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

~~~Team Multiplay Rules~~~
The "Team Multiplay" rules can be found at the following link:
http://pokegym.net/cpdm/current/rulings_compendium.pdf
(Please "copy & paste" this link.)
The pages for the rules are 192-199. These are the old "Wizard of The Coast" rules. I think that some have been updated. I will try to find them.:eek: Please read these rules and give me input on the "Booster Draft" for the "Ex Crystal Guardians" prerelease at "JJK Cards" in Richardson, Texas on August 26, 2006.:wink: Then we will decide if this is the format that we want for this tournament.:biggrin:
Thanks.
We are planning on having a "GBA" tournament if there are at least eight players. The attendance has dropped off for the "GBA" tournaments. Also, in order to play in the "GBA" tournament you must first be registered for the "EX Crystal Guardians" prerelease.
Yes, we are planning on having the "GBA" tournaments. But, the number of players have dropped off for these tournaments. So, we will need at least eight players for in order to hold the "GBA" tournament. Also, all "GBA" players must be registered for the prerelease before entering the "GBA" tournament.
okay then. Heck, I might even enter, get destroyed, but it's all for good fun. And I always register for the prerelease right whenever it starts registering, so that'll be good.
but how many do we need? 6 or 8? in referring to me you said 6, and referring to shiftrymaster68 you said 8. is it different for where we live?
Questions about those rules...
If a player were to use Ice Beam(10% chance of causing the Freeze Special Condition) on an opposing Pokemon, Freezing it, and the opponent switched their Frozen Pokemon, only for the new one to be Frozen by the second Beam, what exactly would happen with that match?
The rules state that you are to have 6 Pokemon, then pick 4 in any order to battle. My question is that if player A had...
Shiftry
Salamence
Tyranitar
Gengar
Blissey
Forretress
As their team, selected the first 4 to battle with in their above order, and proceded to the next round, could they use any combination of 4 of the above Pokemon? We've never done that before, just clarifying.
Click click click can't get it to open.
hmm those rules are completely different than I thought they'd be. I thought they'd be 3 vs 3 single battles. guess i won't be entering, since I can't train all those Pokemon fast enough to Lv. 100. too bad, would've been fun the other way where i could've entered :(
Good question...Clay C will be the "Head Judge" for this event in Fort Worth. I am sure that he can answer that question for you.
