Jeff has arranged special prices for Pokemon players,and he's got activities planned for Friday (including a warm-up tourney and Family Board Game time), activities and raffles on Saturday, and even a Sunday follow-up brunch for those who want to attend! Not to mention all of the amazing amenities the Kalahari Resort has to offer! Check out the link above to the Kalahari! You won't believe all the cool stuff they've got there, including a brand new indoor theme park that just opens Dev 17th, complete with laser tag, bowling, an arcade, go carts, a ferris wheel and more! Oh ya, and did I mention wireless internet all through the resort? Nice!

Jeff has set up a great website for all of the Midwest Area Pokemon Events going on from now until then (including info on all our area City Championships) and a special section with all the complete details for the Midwest Regional Championships, including reservation information with special prices. Be sure to check it out! This will be a wonderful event and a lot of fun for the whole weekend!

WOOOHOOOO! The 10e clan is CERTAINLY excited about this one! Chris & I have wanted to take the kids back this way for vaction & to have Pokemon wrapped up in it, WOW!! If only it was the weekend before because thats our Spring break...darnit! Oh well, cant have everything Im thinking...lol I wanted to take them there for Christmas break, but looks like I will postpone it a few more months! Thats ok though! Either way, were there! Count us in Camile! Whatever we can do to help, just let us know! :thumb:

Yea this place is pretty much the apex of indoor amusement parks. So if you are planning on a vacation near this time, this may be a good option. Not only do you have all the amazing things the Kalahari has to offer under one roof, but to have a MAJOR Pokemon event under that same roof, well how could you ask for any more. We plan to have things going on all weekend, so check out the website for updates. And if you are planning to attend and have interest in judging, you can email me at [email protected]. Awesome! We cant wait for another fun filled Pokemon tournament plus the one of the largest waterparks in the world.....only an hour away. Can't beat that. We actually don't have to get a room.....but of course HAVE to! :redface: Can't miss out on all the fun.

Don't forget, you can still get special room rates for Pokemon players if you book in advance. We have details up at our MW Region Pokemon Events website for you. We have a block of rooms reserved, so if you're planning on going, book your room early and save yourselves some money!

We've got lots of events planned for the weekend, so go check out Jeff's Regionals website with all the complete details. He even has a section where you can preregister for this MW Regionals event, as well as some of the area State Championships.

This is going to be a LOT of fun for everyone! We've got a lot of rooms booked already! Don't miss out!
 
Got more things planned out and we will be having lots of product for sale on site for all your needs, including lots of singles. Its gonna be a long but exciting weekend of Pokemon fun. Bring your cards, money, and Red Bull. I think we are all gonna need it.:biggrin:
 
oh darn. i wish i could go but unfortunately its on the day before easter according to some family... ill let you know if i can make it though...
 
This looks amazing. I am from ohio and we like to travel to new areas for regionals. I am going to try to pull my money together and if I can we will come up and join you all. This looks amazing I have never seen a tournament with so much planned.

Also just one question. Are the special rates only available for a certain block of rooms?

There are a block of certain rooms set aside with the reduced rate just for Pokemon. I believe they are for 4 people. 2 additional people may be added for a small fee. I believe the larger rooms/suites are at regular rate. You may contact me via pm with any other questions. I will be happy to help all I can.:thumb:
 
this looks like lots of fun hope it pulles people from wi, mn, il, io, and others. don't know who will come with me but i will be there for sure.

We are talking on the phone Ryan. Chris W. said he could definitely make it one night. I'm willing to do both nights and hang out at some of the local attractions on Sunday. We were even looking to doing 2 rooms together with some Rockford guys but they already booked.
 
Its gonna be an awesome time! We've got the best judges ever pretty much (not to flatter myself or anything... I meant the rest of you fools :)). And everything with Ryan, Chris, and Chris is worked out I'm pretty sure. :)
 
I will be having my deck complete by then so I'm hoping to try and find a ride to play since this would be my first regionals since '05. >_>

How long of a ride would the be from Chicago?
 
Depending on which part of Chicago you're coming from, between 3 and 5 hours.
