So after yesterdays incident of losing because of 3 factors and because top cut was messed up, I take out my 1-0-1 Noir for a TSD and another Bebe's Search. I feel good after how well my deck did the day before and I expect a good day.

Incase you didn't read my title, I played Gengar.

R1 - Lori D. (Dusknoir)

I go first and prevent her from using trainers. She only had one pokemon in play (I don't remember what it was), however next turn I candy and Poltergist FTW.

Win (1-0)

R2 - Luke D. (Mirror)

I get a much better start to his okay start. He falls too far behind and just can't keep up with me as I was now full set up. I think that T3 Claydol did him in when he wasn't able to locate his all game pretty much.

Win (2-0)

R3 - Brian C. (Dusknoir)

I get a really good start as I usually do, however I get him down to 2 prizes and he ends up getting a few as I was forced to ko his Noir Lv. X which I don't like doing to get down to one prize. However I play a Warp Point and he sends up a pokemon that I think he didn't think I could knock out, however I hit him with Uxie for 20 and win the game by taking my final prize. If he doesn't make that mistake it would of been EXTREMELY close.

Win (3-0)

R4 - Mike (Dusknoir/Bronzong)

I know I have a tough matchup, but he makes a few key mistakes and proceeds to lose 6-1/2. Him having a Unown G prized didn't help as he had to put down Azelf which led to a free prize via Gengar.

Win (4-0)

R5 - Darrell M. (Dusknoir)

I start with Baltoy vs his Unown G. He goes first. I have a RC, a Gengar, and an Energy in my hand. I was also lucky enough to have 2 Poke Radar in my hand. I then use the first of the two and whiff completely. I play the second one and rip a Gastly and my ONE Unown Q. I proceed to T1 him.

Win (5-0)

I am the first seed and we have a Top 4.

T4 - Eric (Kingdra)

G1 - In this game he starts with Unown G. I believe he goes first and plays down a horsea he topdecked. He retreats and then attaches G to Horsea. I attach and I have to retreat so that I can stop him from using trainers. He then evoles to Seadra but has no energy. I attach to Gastly and proceed to use Pitch-Dark for the third straight turn. He draws fails on the Speed Staduim he played on turn 2 and passes. I RC into Gengar and Poltergist for 150 on my 3rd turn and the win.

G2 - He chooses to go 2nd. I go first and attach to the Gastly that I started with to his Horsea. I use Pitch Dark. He draw, attaches to Horsea and smokescreens. I then RC into Gengar and Poltergist for 150 on my 2nd turn FTW.

So, I win in T4 in a total of 5 turns.

Win (6-0/7-0)

T2 - Darrell M. (Dusknoir)

G1 - I get a great start to his awful start. I am able to build a huge advantage by just sniping his bench. He is able to get around my Gengar by hitting me with a Uxie and returning it to the deck. He scoops when I only have 2 prizes to his like 5 and he sees I have the game in less than 2 turns. The one issue I had was with 3 prizes to go I still had both my Haunters prized which made it difficuly as I wasn't drawing into my rare candies.

G2 - He chooses to go second. I go first and start for the first time with Unown G. I have an Unown Q on the bench. He goes and proceeds to get 2 Dusknoir and still have a good size hand on T1. I go and I am able to somehow get a Gengar up and get a Claydol started. I attach Unown G to Gengar and start sniping his bench. I start getting an advantage in prizes. He starts to Night Spin my Gengar. I am able to take a 2 prize lead when I flip a heads on fainting spell. After I take another prize and I hit my second heads in a row for Fainting Spell, he conceeds as time expires as I have the game in one or two turns as I have a 5-3 prize advantage.

Win (7-0/9-0)

So, I win going undefeated. I went 13-1 this weekend with Gengar losing my one game only because I had an awful lucky on some flips and some draw. I fix this and my list becomes much better.

Props -

Lori D. for driving me to the event.
James for helping me test and helping me with testing
Dustin for helping me test the deck during the week.
Going 13-1 this weekend and most likely gaining about 81 points during the weekend.

Slops -

The JETS losing to the 49ers and collapsing in their last two games. As some would say "You're Better Than That!!"

Thanks for reading,
Drew

Congrats on the win Drew. I'll give you a better game next time. I sent you a PM about the Matt's mat. Let me know if you have it. Thanks.

GJ on the win Drew you deserve it (and btw it's eric not alex )

Thanks, I fixed it, I was sooooo tired, I couldn't remember and for some reason I thought it was that. I did like your report about our games, it was sort of funny. I am sorry that it went like that, I wish we could of had better games.

Thanks!! However, I don't mind a better game if it ended with a similar result.

I do have the playmat, however, I won't be at league for some time as I go to the City Championships. I sent you a PM back letting you know.

Thanks, I didn't really, I had some awful starts, but I was able to recover from most of them as I have lots of options to help me setup.

, Chris, I should be at both. Thanks for the congrats.

Props on ur win. I can't believe u hit four dusknoirs in swiss and one in top 4. Gengar >>> Dusknoir!

Thanks, I was a bit shocked that I did hit that many. However, I made my Gengar have an advantage to Dusknoir. However, it is NOT an easy matchup, I just know what to do. It is really funny because my area is pretty much all Kingdra and Dusknoir and then there is me playing Gengar, lol.
