I get there, FINALLY find out the rules when i get there after having been twice this week to ask. I'm told any Pokemon under 490 is allowed, and they only DQ you if you have more than 3 shiny's on your TEAM. You jsut walk up when ur rdy, so i walk up against a little kid.

I use Torterra, Dragonite, Espeon, and Palkia (It was the only legendary i had with me, b/c i expected thsi to be a fair tournament)

The kid creams me. Afterwards, teh kid who had won teh rd before i played says "hey gimme my DS back i wanna add something" to the kid who just beat me. I'm like WHAT?! They used the SAME GAME to beat me and the kid before me. Worst part is "Ther'es nothing in the rules against it, so i cant do anything".

Needless to say, this needs to be more organized next time if Nintendo does this ever again.
 
You were asking for it using only one uber! Espeon? Torterra who gets pwned by ice beam. LOL I feel sorry for you but you had no chance.
 
I'd have just gone in with a team of Double Team spammers and übers. If there's nothing in the rules against them, you can expect that people will use them shamelessly. Anything else is pointless naïvété.
 
haha, i know i shoudla used more ubers, but i didnt have them on d/p yet so i COULDNT, lol. I wasn't expecting being able to use them, so i didnt have them at my disposal. They're most still stuck on pokemon colosseum and i havent bothered taking teh time to get them off yet. The point was that two kids were using teh exact same DS to get to the finals, and then just have one concede since they obv cant battle each other, and both get the $50 game. And no, i didnt EXPECT to do better once i got there and foudn you coudl use anything. =/
 
The tournament I went to, Mcallen, Texas, was a complete uber takeover. Mostly everyone used Palkia, Giratina, and Rayquaza. I made it to the semifinals with Alakazam, Palkia, and Starapter. We both had one pokemon left and I brought down his Giratina to like 10 HP, but I knocked myself out with Brave Bird. I was hoping for a draw, but that didn't happen. It's ok. If no legendaries were allowed, I would of won for sure.
 
You guys should've used Blissey.

Seriously, it sounds like Dragonair and Master12 were in a tournament filled with trainers who only knew how to use ubers. Believe me when I say Blissey is the ultimate counter uber.

I have to totally TOTALLY disagree with this. Please look at my own thread. You'll see I won using an Espeon on my team with only one uber. And note-that's a Latias NOT holding Soul Dew. He used what he wanted, and he lost. I think that was a good team though-nice try!

Shedinja isn't too bad actually. Kyogre, Kingdra Mewtwo and others sometimes simply can't hit it.

haha, i actually was only in a tourny with little kids lol

and thanks, ampharonic warrior. I WAS only there to have a good time, it wasn't all about winning, and i'd be just as upset if i won and the kids were still cheating.
