Hey, 'Gym community!
I'm a huge fan of Steel Pokémon and now I'm playing a deck based on Steelix Prime, from Unleashed. That said, let's take a look at the decklist:
Pokémon (17)
3-3 Steelix Prime (2 UL/1 SF - UL)
1-1 Scizor Prime (PL - UD)
2-2 Blissey (1 GS/1 PL - PL)
3 Jirachi (RR)
1 Skuntank G (PL)
1 Uxie (LA)
Energy (15)
4 :colorless::colorless:
4 Sp. :metal:
4 Call Energy
3 :metal:
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums (28)
4 Bebe's Search
4 Engineer's Adjustment
4 Life Herb
2 Moomoo Milk
2 Interviewer's Questions
2 Expert Belt
2 Conductive Quarry
2 Pokémon Communication
2 Professor Oak's New Theory
2 Warp Point
1 Luxury Ball
1 Flower Shop Lady
So, the strategy here is pretty simple: start with Jirachi to setup at least a Steelix and a Blissey. When it's KO'ed, I use its Power to grab an Expert Belt or a :colorless::colorless: and attach it to Steelix. In case I don't have a Supporter (or can't play it) in my first turn, Call Energy allows me to get 2 Basics from my deck. Life Herbs and Moomoo Milks keep Steelix free of damage as it rampages through my opponent's deck. Scizor Prime is there in case I face another Steelix deck, as it's immune to any Pokémon that has Special Energies.
I wanted to add a Shaymin (UL) and 2 Sage's Training (UD), what do you guys think?
Shaymin would transfer the energies to Scizor Prime or another Steelix Prime if needed, but would be situational.
