Mystery Pikachu promo!

okay, I have this pikachu card(quite old)

it is lv.13

it is in japanese

it has a blue lightning streak across the black background

looks like the black star promo pikachu from the WB movie, but it is of course, in japanese.

it also has the vending symbol where the set insignia goes.

I have had this card for a loong time and I cant figure out what it is!
 
I'm not sure how accurate this is, but according to Pojo.com, their databases indicate that if this is from promo vending sheet #00, then it is worth 115$

@@ REALLY not sure if this is accurate or not, because they do not post pictures next to their information @@

plus it might just be plain wrong :confused:

Well.. Its not worth anything.. perhaps $2...
The Pojo.com price guide is not very good at all... the prices are not adapted to that what they are worth..

Back to the question: Yes, this is the Pikachu from the Vending Promo card, Card #0 and it is worth a lot.
I'd say more like $50, though.
The Mew and Mewtwo from that promo card are identical to the ones that you get in the CD collection of promos. But the Pikachu was not reissued like they were and so retains it's value.

Yeah, but.. I think the "selling" value.. is not very high.. because there are not many collectors who'd bid on this card...
 
yeah this is a vending machine promos, they are always worth a little bit of money.
I agree pojo isn't the best of a guide

this one was pretty hard to get I would pay $40-$50 ish :p
