From the worlds page:

In addition to invites, many players will also win travel and accommodations for themselves and a guest (for players under 18 years of age, this guest must be a legal guardian) to the World Championships. Travel awards are awarded as follows:
Top player from each age group at Pokémon TCG Gym Challenges
Top two finishers from each age group at Pokémon TCG Stadium Challenges
Top two finishers at the National Championships
Winners from previous World Championships are eligible for travel awards only if Pokémon Organized Play is able to confirm their attendance in advance.

(Emphasis mine)

So, are there two trips per division, one trip per division, or two total?

Since the nationals page is the most recent, I would say this is the most accurate version. However this should be brought attention to POP.

yah, kind of freaky that 2 trips per division will be given at the Stadiums, yet only one at Nationals.

All, please note that you've found a 'back door' to an FAQ that does not pertain to the USA.

If you go to the Premier Events page at our site, you'll notice that the Nationals FAQ is not posted yet. The FAQ you're reading is the International National Championships FAQ.

The Nationals invites structure inside North America is the same as the Stadium Challenges, however, this year's international invites are limited to one per event, depending upon the distributor sponsoring the travel.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

That should say, per division.

Back door? I got it off a link from the main US page. Also, it says at the top "U.S. National Championship - Saturday, June 26th 2004." Were the two documents mixed up somehow?

Sorry, that was a different issue I was thinking of.

The current FAQ on our site is incorrect. It will be updated next week.

Thanks!
