Hi everyone. So Neutral Ground is going to be holding some pokemon tcg tournaments over the summer. Here is what you can find there.

Location:New York, NY
**During the summer Sundays are going to be "Shuffle Sundays"
There will be a $5 entry fee to play. 1st place prize is a ipod shuffle. If you play in the tournament you do not have to pay for entry into the gaming space.

League will be from 11:30-6:30

Tournament – 1pm – Entry: $5** 1st Prize: ipod Shuffle** Additional prizes awarded based on attendance.

**There will be another tournament for July 12 @ 11am.
Entry: Free (There will still be a $2 entry fee to use the gaming area)
1st Prize: Exclusive 10th Anniversary Pokemon Watch
Age divisions will NOT be in use for this event.
Deck lists will not be required.

So NG is holding another shuffle tournament tomorrow. Due to the tournament being cancelled last week, instead of only the winner getting the ipod, another shuffle will be distributed randomly to anyone. See you all there.
 
Would someone please tell the owner of NG that instead of buying all these shuffles as prizes, to lift the 2 fee for only our league players already. They pretty much killed off all league play in NYC due to this. It's sad that we virtually have no official league because of these things.

These tournaments aren't working substitutes for long term casual play and people are too smart for this. For NO ONE to go to the last one and people decided to go to rock or hog instead, only proves the point.

No offense to you Dan. I know you're just spreading the word for the store. Somehow someone at the top there NEEDS to understand this by now. It hurts me most of all cause league is one of my few escapes from the weekly grind. :frown:

Factually, Queens is the most ethnically diverse borough in the country. All those "immigrants" that dream about coming to Manhattan for some reason end up in Queens.

Yes, the Gym is a place to discuss all Pokemon things.
However, this is a League and Tournament Notice thread.
It is, basically, an advertisement for this location.
Just like in the trading forum you can't step on someone's trades with "I'll offer it to you for less", you can't step on someone League/tourney ad.

If you want to discuss the good and bad about a location or the status of play areas in a region, start a new topic for it.

This topic is an "ad" for NG. Take other discussion to another topic.

Deleting off topic posts. They can be discussed elsewhere on the Gym if desired.
