Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

neutral grounds :P (NYC league)

I talked with Tony and he said that the $2 fee is here to stay. They are charging people to play from Wed-Sun. These are called Premier Days (PD). If any of you have any complaints you can voice them out to him at [email protected] He also said that he is continuing to work on the AC problem and reopening the lower level. And be on the look out for a $ tourny in July.

If people want to go to Rockefeller Center feel free to go.

Can somebody insist them to do the league on saturdays. Since they are going to fix downstairs maybe they can move it to Saturday. It is way more convinient. Like back in the days when Toys r us had the leagues on saturday. The good old days.

If they are charging a fee Wed-Sun, then wouldn't there be a fee on Saturday as well? Moving league to Saturday wouldn't help.
Does any one know if they will be charging the $2 fee when they have tournaments? I know they are having a tournament on a Saturday in July for $10, but would it be $12 after the fee to compete?

I dont mean to bash NG and i'm sorry if I am. It just seems to me by what they've been doing as of late that they dont really care at ALL for the Pokemon TCG, and that they just have league for the sake of having it... be it to brag to others about it or what have you.

I think that this is going to be the straw that breaks the Camel's back. No one is going to come to NG for league if the $2 thing is from wed-sun and is here to stay. Can we at least start cooking up ideas on where to have a secondary League?

On another note...can someone have the employees at NG tell the usual Pokemon TCG players that show that everyone is at Rock Plaza?

I really doubt that the people at NG will do that, they would lose business by telling kids that league is at Rockefeller.

hey that sucks you guys have to pay for (by the sounds of it) a not-so-great place.
but if people stop going to their league wouldnt they stop hosting tournaments (local/premier)?
because if they see nobody going to league what obligation would they have..?
just wondering..?
hope I make sense

obligation??....how about money?....they get paid per person that plays in Premier events..

props to the people who showed up today ;]

and having a fun time with darrell, eric, and duckii's crew :p playing Zombies..

too good.

geo you should go to the tournament in NJ this saturday.. meet some people.. and play in at least 1 tournament to get the feel of it..if you need cards for a deck you can let me know and i can try to lend.

but yea next week still Rockefeller center

NJ is too far but thanks for telling me. Saturdays would be perfect at NG or Rockefeller. But in the morning cause I go to work at 4 so yeah. The 2 dollar thing is not a big deal but we(meanng the players at NG) should demand better treatment for the game and better playing conditions(AC and more room). Like I said people should pressure NG for better changes cause after all we are paying their salaries.

Hi pokemon players!

This is ed from Heights of gaming in queens!

I'm really excited that you guys are deciding to check out my store!

There's a lot of kids that want to play pokemon but we haven't had a dedicated base of committed players to play the game , so what would happen is that one or two kids would show one week and a different 2 kids would show the next week... and it wasn't great.

but NOW it looks like we could get a good regular 10 - 12 players playing pokemon on a regular basis!

I was so excited about Pokemon league play that I have scheduled both Thursdays and Sundays for dedicated Pokemon league play!

The guys and gal that I met on Sunday were awesome and you guys are just the kind of players that I'm looking for! Nice and friendly.

Guys we're definately a different kind of store. We're not about quantity, but about quality! You know all those troublemakers that you got to deal with in other stores? Don't worry they won't be a problem at our spot! We run a tight ship, and we're a friendly family environment.

I really liked everyone I met on Sunday and had fun playing Pokemon with ya'll. I really hope you guys decide to become part of our gaming family!

If there's anything I can do to make things better for you guys I'm easy to get a hold of! Either send me an email or give me a call during biz hours at 718-478-3506!

See you Sunday! (or thursday!)

How do I get to the Queens league? If the travel isn't terrible, I'll check it out.

Neutral Ground is KILLING Pokemon.

edit: and when exactly is it?
