zekrom seems very playable to me, theres defender as jandpds said but theres also the fact that potion got its heal bumped up from 2 to 3 which negates most of the self damage and is a very common card, only real counter to zekrom i can see is donphan prime (and maybe machamp)

Reshiram is just mean if you play it in Unlimited with Heatran X.
Like, nasty mean. 120 for 3 energies without having to discard? With that massive HP? Hoho! I love you feather crotch dragon~ So much.

I'm just glad the card images are out. I've been waiting for a Reshiram card for a while now.

What decks are "challenging" then?
In MD-on? None. At least no deck of top tier. Back in the ex series we had decks like LBS, Destiny, Mynx, Dark Heart, Rock Lock etc... none of the current decks is even close as challenging to play. Even Metanite, that was called a simple deck back in those days, is more challenging to play than any tier 1 deck right now except for Dialgachomp.

What do we have besides SP? Vilegar? Well it's an intersting concept, but not too difficult. Gyarados? Yay beatdown for zero energy. And I don't think I have to comment past decks like Jumpluff or Kingdra... they wouldn't even have the right to be called decks in the EX age because they were so autopilot.

SP is broken, completely goes away from the rules and the whole point of the game, and destroys the format, yes - but it's definitely not easier to play than other decks we have in right now.

btw, to get back to the topic, I fear that the most "challenging to play" deck in HGSS-on will be Reshiram/Typhlosion/Ninetales... when I look at the new cards and mechanics.

Heh, and people called "Mario" a "Pile of cards that doesn't deserve the name deck"...yet somehow its a lot more strategic then 90% of the decks currently in format...

Woah check this out:
Chillacchino – Colorless – HP90
Stage 1 Evolution – Evolves from Chillarmy

[C] Sweeping Slap: Flip 2 coins, this attack does 20 damage times the number of heads.
[C][C] Do the Wave: Does 20 damage times the number of Pokemon on your Bench.

Weakness: Fighting (x2)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Jumpluff on steroids? I mean, sure its retreat is 1 (unown Q) and it costs 2 energies (hello DCE), but a stage 1 with 90hp and 120 every turn...that's pretty darn good.

We had a lucario just like this, did it get played? No.

I'd just like to point out that just because someone said it does 20x doesn't mean that's right. The tiny indistinguishable dot in the picture that is supposed to be a X could easily be a +.

If you read the news story, you would see that you can expand the image to a larger size and that it is clearly an x.

Zekrom seems usable since Lightning Strike damages himself and makes Outrage not so situational. At the same time, 40 recoil is a lot, and his retreat cost is pretty high. Maybe he can be comboed with other new cards but as of now, I can't say for sure. It may be too easy to kill him.

Reshiram, I don't find usable at all. Blue Fire's cost is too high and not worth it at all. I doubt any card will be released that will improve Reshiram's status.
