Hey
Ive been thinking about the DP Magnezones attack and i thought that you could make a deck similar to that of skittles. The attack which requires at least one metal energy and two colourless does 50 damage plus 10 for every metal energy. So think about this: Three energies = 50 + 30 = 80 Thats just the basic requirements. Add two more energies to inflict 100. Two more and you will do 120 damage for just seven energy. Now to give the energy to Magnezone you use togekiss. The serene grace poke power should give you the necessary energy.

Now you may think that what happens if your supercharged magnezone is close to being knocked out?
Well this is when the Lv.X comes in and not only gives free retreat to the damged pokemon but has the ability to give all that energy to another magnezone which is all ready to inflict some damage. This means that no energies are wasted in the process.

A possible list for this idea could be:

Pokemon: 21
Magnezone Lv.X (LA) x1
Magnezone (DP) x3
Magneton (DP) x2
Magnemite (DP) x4
Baltoy x2
Claydol x2
Togekiss x3
Togetic x1
Togepi x3

Trainers: 21
Rare Candy x4
Bebe's Search x4
Roseannes Research x4
Team Galactics Wager x1
Pluspower x4
Bucks Traing x4

Energies 18
:metal: x18

Any thoughts on this idea would be helpful.

Awesome deck, but what's with the one TGW?, replace it with a metal energy or something
and are all your metals basic?, if so replace four of them with special metals.

okay, I have one questions.... how can magnezone Lv.x use it's attack??

It can use it's attack because it only needs 2 energy to attack. For that, add in Electric energy please.

If you have special energy, I would stick to Special Metal then that would be it.

^Magnezone Lv.X requires Lightning Energy to use its attack. I guess that is not the purpose of Magnezone Lv.X in this deck though. Though perhaps including a few Lightning Energy would be a wise play. Magnezone Lv.X does not offer free retreat itself either, that is Magnezone's Body. Something to potentially consider for this deck is a Blissey as an alternate attacker. It can help in the recovery process when you unexpectedly get a ton of energy lost from an unexpected knock out.

I don't asked you really,

I asked the deck author.....

If there's no electric energy how come magnezone lv.x used in this deck??

also try throwing in one of the super conectivity magnazones from SF it will help recover any lost energys
other than that great deck!:thumb:

Thanks I thought the idea would be interesting

In response to DubeRRy question the Magnezone Lv.X is used for the cycling of energy and allows a beaten up magnezone to easily shuffle around into a fresh one with full health and all the energy.

However a few electrics could be useful to allow the attack to be used so i might add some.
As Jason said special metal energies don't work with Togekiss as well so leave them out.

Night maintenance and bucks can be considered as well.

And as for SF super conductivity zone it could be used with the lv.X but I think DP would work fine.
Just use the brute strength and share energies around in case of knockouts

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Can you please tell me what Blissey does because the idea of backup does sound interesting

Cheers

Blissey has an attack for one energy that allows you to take an energy from the discard and attach it to Blissey. After that, it does ten damage times the number of energy attached to it. It also is a stage one with 130hp. I thought it could be used to help get some of the energy back on the field and also stall a little while you prepare another Magnezone if you have one knocked out unexpectedly.

absolutly brilliant thought out deck idea sir!! :thumb:

I have one question though.. Using 7 energy for a 120 damage attack is kinda crazy.. I'm not putting you or the deck down at all. I'm just thinking about what your going to be playing this deck against.

For instance: I'm playing my tortatile deck at cities. With constant deck testing and correcting I now have in my opinion one of the most consistant decks around. Out of the last 37 battles I have gotten sceptile, torterra, and claydol out by T2 23 times and T3 12 times. What I guess I'm trying to say is if I am hitting for 100 damage with 2 energy then you would need to get 8 energy on magnazone to KO me. Also with torterra lv.x hitting 30 to any bench pokemon and 100 to active does it really stand a chance?

Also I know that my deck is only 1 out of all decks you will play but I don't know. Just seems to me that 8 energy to ko 1 pokemon is kind of exreme.

But honestly dude do what you want :thumb: the deck you listed is totally original and I give you MAD props for that!

And who knows magnakiss could be the next amu, plox (well let's hope not :p) or skittles!

Great job and good luck bro!!

Nice Idea Mystic Metal I run a deck very close in composition to this I'd suggest adding electric energy and another mag lv.X as well as rotoms to return energy dialga as a back up attacker tm 1 for quick evolves and a smattering of other trainers.
