If you guys can't start or find a league you could always come to Cedar Grove. League is from 11-2 on Saturdays followed by a tournament for $5 entry and you get store credit if you do well enough. It makes it last until about 4 or 5. It is a nice 6 hours of Pokemon every weekend.

Just a suggestion to any who could make it out to Time Warp.

As far as getting there, there is a bus that goes right across the street, I am not sure what bus it is but I am sure someone who has posted here does.

im curious how does the store credit system work there how do they determine how much credit first place

gets or do u guys do a 4 way split and how many players go there

its about 9.50 round trip... to timewarp drew..

possibly once a month or something like that but like..

paying 4.50 nyc metro, 9.50 round trip to Tw, 5.00 for the mini tournaments.. thats 19.00 right there..
i doubt people will spend 25. to 30$ a week to travel for league.. when mostly people show up to rock with a metro card and 5$ for food... lol.

If i had a car or someone had a car it would be different.. cause i wouldnt mind driving some ppl from ny to timewarp. but times are hard i guess...

and im going to Rock this sunday.. so are the usualls lol.. dan, edwin*maybe* Eric, darrell *maybe* Peter, me, sam, and the usuall people who are there befor i get there.

i <3 forbidden planet.. used to go for yu-gi-oh all the time when i was younger :smile:

they got rid of their league area upstairs for a manga area; i'm pretty sure they're strictly business now - not a place to play at.

Im currently in the process of starting a league there with the store owner.

He said that we can probably do it (as of right now) on Tuesdays or Thursday (only b/c other tournaments occur on weekends at NIGHT), but nothing is final yet.

While there won't be a just-pay fee just to play there necessarily, we might require the anyone who wants to sit down and play, needs to first buy something, say a booster pack, snacks, bunch of old pkmn Singles, or whatever. (around 3 to 5 dollars)
I think this is really reasonable.

They still have Base Set 2, Team Rocket, Gym Leaders and Challenge, as well as some new ones (like Ex Poker Keepers, Mys. Treasures, Rising Rivals) for a very reasonable price
(4 for $10, 3 for $10, depending on which one)

Old commoncs/uncommons/rare .25 each
Holo rares $2 each

It should be totally worth it. I love this store!! Especially for collectors.
League coming soon, I hope!

I will tell you guys soon =P. The store owner wont be in town for a week, and so whoever is on the counter wont know very much about Pokemon.
As for tomorrow, where are we meeting? How will I know whos whos. I guess I can guess. lol

Please bring anything that you might want to sell! or trade, (probably not)
even common, uncommons, especially old ones, and ex cards you no longer want. old gym badges, sleeves
I especially like ex Team Rocket, Neo, and even the newest sets.
Im willing to buy a lot of cards (to collect) but for a reasonable price.

again, only if you want to. I dont want to take your collections!
and we can discuss the new league.
um, I applied for Organized Play online, and I will talk to the store owner in two weeks.

If you really cant wait, look up the stand brooklyn on yahoo/google.

god im hawt. the train i take to go home takes me there and i use to play yugiz at where u planninz to go. It wont work, trust me dont bother lol Its too far for the regulars and the place is blah They do sell old cards for like a bux though so ya can visit them if u want a alakazam from base :lol: otherwise scratch this idea as well it will neva work

Btw im prettier then u all :biggrin:

i live in brooklyn lol gravesend is a small yugioh store they do have 3 tables set up in the back but i wouldnt take a kid of my there, the owner smokes all the time there and it smells as such :frown:

smoking or not smoking, it doesnt matter. the store owner is really nice and generous. Since the store caters to Magic and Yugioh players, we are fortunate that theyre letting us play. Once I get the stuff in the mail, I will announce the day we can start. (as well as any other useful info, I will probably make a webpage for it)

From what I can tell, they are only sending me enough supplies for 10 ppl at a time.
Get ready to play for them, the cards. lol.
and it seems they might be sending some video game supplies or something.

The new season hasnt started yet. next month, perhaps?

How far is your clean's league from Brooklyn Heights? It sounds cool, maybe I'll go to check it out. What day is it?
