The 2011 New Mexico Pokémon State Championship is coming!!!


Basic Information

Location:
Albuquerque Convention Center 401 2nd St. NW, Albuquerque, NM
West Complex- Lower level- In the Cochiti/Taos Room

Date: Saturday, March 12th, 2011

Time: ---->Registration begins at 8:30 AM (Registration ends at 10:15 AM). Player meeting begins at 10:30 AM.
The main tournament (swiss rounds) can last 5 to 6 hours.

You must be in the registration line with your decklist ready no later than 10:15 AM or you may receive a first round loss or not be allowed to enter the event.

Three Age Divisions: Juniors (born in 2000 or later)/Seniors (born in 1996, 1997, 1998, or 1999)/Masters (born in 1995 or earlier)
K-Value: 32

Format: Modified Constructed Deck (bring your own deck - Cards are allowed from Diamond Pearl-Majestic Dawn up to and including the current set Call of Legends as well as Promos from HS Trainer kit). Also, Black Star Promos DP22 and higher and numbered HGSS01 and higher. We will do Age Modified Swiss (all players will play in every round in their age group). Note: A limited amount of Theme decks are available for new players who want to participate but may not have a legal deck to use.

What are the Prizes?
All participants will receive a 2011 States promo card (while supplies last).

The top 8 finishers in each of the three age categories receive the following prizes:


1st - 36 boosters, Medal, a Playmat, $300 travel allowance to Nationals and a First round bye at Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana.
2nd - 16 boosters and a Medal
3rd - 8 boosters and a Medal
4th - 8 boosters and a Medal
5th through 8th - 4 boosters

Wow. Trish, you have a lot up your sleeves this year. So many raffles and surprise. That i cant wait until Saturday. I hope that we get a great turnout and have a great time. Lots of us here are praticing and really to hit the event hard. NM is going to stay with all this metals this year. None are leaving without a good battle. :thumb::lol:

I look forward to seeing lots of good friends there. :cool:

What part of NM are you from, Blastoise? Just remember you going to El Paso, just curious how far from us you are.
 
Yeh seriously, is the surprise guest going to be Johnny Cash or something? This sounds like it is going to be a really good event, I can only hope Colorado States is as good...
