Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND

Two of the most powerful Pokémon around combine forces as the new Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND (89/90 and 90/90) in the brand-new HS—Undaunted expansion!

Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND's Space Virus Poké-Body will double the fear factor for your opponent—when you Knock Out the Defending Pokémon with Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND, you get to take an additional Prize cards as a result of your victory!

The basic elements of Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND are also a little unusual: it's a Colorless and Psychic dual-type Pokémon, yet its primary attack requires 2 Fire Energy, 1 Lightning Energy, and 1 Colorless Energy to use.

However, "unusual" doesn't mean "bad," and that Ozone Buster attack certainly shows why you'll want Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND on your side—it does a devastating 150 damage, more than enough to Knock Out virtually every Pokémon unlucky enough to be in its way! The drawback is that you have to discard all the Fire Energy attached to Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND. Still, that's a small price to pay when you're drawing a bonus Prize card!

Unfortunately, this cuts both ways: when Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND is Knocked Out, your opponent draws 2 Prize cards. Fortunately, this Pokémon LEGEND has 140 HP to sustain itself, meaning it'll be tough work to Knock Out this outstanding duo!

Umbreon Prime

The Pokémon TCG: HS—Undaunted expansion is packed with all kinds of Eevee Evolutions, one of which, Espeon Prime (81/90), we outlined earlier. With Umbreon Prime (86/90), you can make the most of all those Evolutions with one powerful attack. Umbreon Prime's Evoblast attack does 50 damage plus an extra 10 damage for every Pokémon in play that evolves from Eevee! Since you can have four Eevee in your deck, that means you could potentially strike for 90 damage per turn! And if the pressure gets to be too much for Umbreon Prime, you can always pull it to safety with its Cloud-Covered Moon Poké-Power. Cloud-Covered Moon lets you flip a coin (as long as Umbreon Prime is the Active Pokémon) to return Umbreon Prime and all of the cards attached to it to your hand. Dish out incredible damage and avoid getting Knocked Out with this Pokémon that's truly in its prime!

what does the gym think

i think the cards are amazing

i mean taking an extra prize card for a knock out

think about expert belt on a pokemon you knock out

that means the game is already half way over

Ah, the second pokemon LEGEND to have a pokebody is revealed.

I think the combo of Rayquaza and Deoxys is pretty dang awesome

And Umbreon looks super cool to. :thumb:

Yes yes yes! I think it is one of the best primes so far.

Now, I didn't say it was a playable card. I was just amazed at how the colors on it are very beautiful. The black with gold and silver work so well together.

Double weakness to fighting is as bad as you can get with Toxicroak G Promo and Machamp out there.

edit: On Rayquaza/Deoxys LEGEND, shouldn't the body be....ohhh, I just realized that the card will come in the pack with the body above the attack, but when played on the field, the body will come after the attack, which is weird.

Sorry, I was talking about the design of the card, not the playability of it. I should have specified that.

Well, for a start, Umbreon Prime will be amazing due to it's power. Only problem is sprays. Once SP is out the format, then it'd be safe to use. Like you guys said, the fighting weakness hurts, I mean Donkphan will screw him over possibly before Eevee evolves! But I like Deoxys Rayquaza Legend. 140HP is ok but the attack's pretty good and DonphanAtoZ, I can see it being paired up with Typhlosion Prime + ninetales.

for now promocroak does it better, and dialga decks will do good against R&D, stopping its body and switching to garchomp for 160 damage. luxchomp also has no problem as long as something isnt knocked out.

Slowking is corfirmed to be a prime. (Which is going to be weird since we'll have no 'nromal version' in the set, other than a Slowbro. Well, unless they CREATE one, which 99% they won't.)

Umbreon Prime is.... interesting. A playable Eeveelution has been considered pretty much an oxymoron, but the Umbreon and Espeon cards in particular actually might be seen. If only there was a way to get rid of Weakness.... oh wait, Umbreon MD. :) It'd definitely have to be played with the Prime in a format that might be seeing a lot of Machamp and Donphan. But with that tech, this card becomes super special awesome. O.O ZOMG, free retreat! Switch up an injured Umbreon Prime, flip for the Power.... oh, it failed. XD Guess I'll just watch it die, then.

RDL could be a beast with the right setup. Either Heatran X or Typhlosion Prime can almost guarantee that monster attack every turn (Barring Power Spray, naturally), which most decks aren't set up to deal with. I think the survivability of this card will be how fast it can set up - if they get rolling they'll be trouble, but if your opponent can disrupt enough YOU'LL be in trouble.

RDL should only be put into Typhlosion based builds. Who should be able to make a nice fiery crisp of Dialga anyway. Bring out RDL against other decks and then you might have something on your hands.
Obviously DONT play it down when your opponent can Garchomp-kill it next turn.

By the by...remember Espeon Prime? He kind of lacks that nasty Fighting weakness yet can still use Umbreon's attack. Just something to consider. Not to mention Umbreon MD...
