edit: I will say this. at least each EX is pretty good (though Kyurem is meh). i know mewtwo's sorta the darling card of this set, but I won't feel completely ripped off if I pull a zekrom or gigas.

I wouldn't either, if not for the fact that half of the EX Pokemon can also be acquired through tins. Mewtwo, Shaymin, and Regigas are the three "good" ones.

But I'm upset that they've dropped the FA pull rate. Getting all six was enough of a pain in the previous set. I think I may drop out of collecting for a while...

I don't see what all the fuss is about. 3 EX's per box ain't too shabby.

Then again, I'm not a collector and don't really care is an EX is full art are or not.

As for the actual set, the only thing I hate is that we're forced to see those freakin' monkeys yet again.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the tins won't be out until after States so people will still be after them for the time being.

You ran into trainers with those things CONSTANTLY in early Black and White. By putting them in every set, you get as sick of seeing them as you did in the games. It's called "adapting the source material".

Regardless of the pull rate, my cousin and I decided to split a box. I hope there's more than 3 EX per box, though, my cousin needs Reshiram and I need mewtwo.

So, is it 1-2 Reg EX, 1-2 (Based on Shiny) FA EX, or just 3 of any EX?

By the way, the 3 of any fits well with the Japanese rarity scheme, which is 2 a box, FA or not.

A box in Japan has about 15 fewer packs and half the amount of cards per pack compared to a box in the west, so that's pretty horrible IMO.

I think if the pull rate is 3 per box then they have no business putting 3 of the 6 ex cards this set in tins. I'm also thinking buying singles (even mewtwo ex at 65 dollars) will be the way to go as the other playable cards in this set are few and far between and will not make up for value should I buy a box and only pull the thee dragons. I fully accept that ultra rare cards are part of any tcg, but if you're gonna make them this rare don't make three of them even more rare by reprinting 3 so fast.

I think there's a lot of playable cards in the set. Shaymin-EX, Amoonguss, Reshiram-EX, Lapras #25, Vanilluxe, Zekrom-EX, Gardevoir, Musharna, Beheeyem, Lucario, Shiftry, Bronzong, Cinccino, and pretty much all the trainers. In other words, Next Destinies could be potentially change the game.

For anybody who cares, Pokebeach just confirmed that the shiny version of Hydregion is 103/99, so there are 4 shinnies in this set. Have fun pulling all 4

Awesome! Shiny Hydreigon! Can't wait until I collect every shiny card.

And nobody is forcing anyone to buy a box of this, just saying. So if you hate this set so bad avoid like the plague. Personally, this set has better cards than that of EPO. That was painful to open packs of. 20 packs -> 0 catcher for me.

I wonder what the pull rates for the shinies are? :3

I could be a lot happier about the pull rates. I wish the EX and FA EX had the pull rates of Primes and Legends, respectfully. I'm hoping the shinies are quite rare though. :D

I just ran a prerelease with 38 players, for a total of 304 packs, and there was 1 Mewtwo ex FA and one Mewtwo ex and the same kid pulled both of them in his first 6 packs! $65 is starting to look like a good deal.

TPCI ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Sigh...

Time to start printing those "Mewtwo EX league promo drive" signs.....

Anyone else for a roadtrip to TCPI HQ?

Assuming the pull rates are what they will be expected, this is obviously just bad luck, I'm sure that there were lots more EX's, Mewtwo just happened to show up the least.

But isn't it said that they (PTCi) don't profit from the highly priced cards - 3rd parties profit? The only way for PTCi to profit is to sell more product.
When the value of cards on the secondhand market increases, the incentive to purchase the product firsthand increases. Remember last summer when Triumphant was selling by the case because of Magnezone and Yanmega Prime? I expect the same to happen with Next Destinies. TPCi is going to enjoy a very large volume of ND sales.
