Now, watch that sell sheet be a totally bogus fake or something

In all seriousness, I believe we're getting all 8.

In my opinion, the most important thing is that we are going to have these beautiful cards very soon!

The rareness of each card is pure speculation, but it seems to fit.

Cards misssing from the list (which combines remaining HB/PD and the Zekrom/Reshiram EX decks) are: Scyther, Ferroseed, Chansey, Tympole, Palpitoad and Tynamo. I can see them either being held till their full evolution chains are released again or some of them being used in the blister packs (Scyther and Ferroseed in the three packs, Chansey being made a broken glass holo and put in the single pack/sampling pack package).

However, they confirmed Cubchoo/Beartic and Zorua/Zoroark as checklane blister promos. That either means Cubchoo/Beartic will not be in the set OR Zorua/Zoroark will be in the set.

There are also a few other cards, such as PDHB promo Riolu, Meowth, and Luxio, as well as a few leftover cards like the Cobalion Strength Deck Lillipup, and a bandai Bisharp and Haxorus.

I have a complete list of every card not yet released here if you'd like to take a look for reference

I'm dreading the release of the EXs. Even more powerful basics will screw up this format.

Personally, I think reprinting Celio's when the EXs come is a great idea.

Forgive me if someone has already said this but maybe they're holding back on the release of Groudon and Kyogre for obvious reasons of a potential remake of R/S/E.

I don't know where people are getting that idea. RS remakes haven't even been announced, much less promoted, in Japan and they're not going to be holding back Kyogre- and Groudon-EX for like 18 months or longer in the English TCG just to release them with remakes that haven't even been confirmed anywhere yet.

^That was a different block, so I fail to see the connection.

As for the reason why some people think they might be delayed (if anything is delayed at all), it's mainly because Rayquaza is likely to get an EX in the future, so why not block them together.

Because Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys, and Jirachi are all Legendaries from R/S/E, yet each was released in the Call of Legends (Heartgold/Soulsilver by extension) set. These cards had nothing to do with HGSS, but were released anyway.

The same can be said about Next Destinies, Kyogre and Groudon (as well as Mewtwo, Shaymin, and Regigas) where they aren't in Black & White but can be included in the set anyway.

Call of Legends is NOT the same Series as HeartGold & SoulSilver. It is separated in every single official grouping of sets. Call of Legends does not go with any game, so it doesn't matter what legends were included.

Kyogre/Groudon/Rayquaza were all catchable in HG/SS.
Jirachi was a distribution Pokémon for HG/SS (opened up a new Pokéwalker route)
Deoxys, while not directly tied, was available in a Special Mission in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, and could be transferred to HG/SS (or, granted, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum)

Reshiram EX and Zekrom EX do NOT have full art cards. The set says that it will have Reshiram EX and Zekrom EX as well as 6 Full art EX's, so that's a total of 8.
The Japanese do not have Full Art Reshiram-EX or Zekrom-EX. But the English set could get exclusive FA EXs.

While true, this only helps as I agreed to earlier- there's no indication that Kyogre or Groudon (EX) would or would not be in the set. It's equally as possible as it is not. From a non-TPCi standpoint, we only are "spoiled" with knowing certain EX cards to begin with; whether or not the ones we know of are released in the set or we are given new ones that weren't released in Japan is not within our range of available knowledge.

Niether Kyogre or Groudon have been revealed to be downloadable (Whereas Mewtwo and Shaymin both are), along with Regigas. That's if you want to stand behind releasing them as a lumped theme of Video Game Scheduling.

Kyogre
Kyogre
Groudon
Groudon

If that were the case, why release them in Call of Legends? I know it was a full year prior, but they could've waited then, too.

They wanted the legendary pokemon from every Generation except the first ( I think?)
Which is why the set is called "Call of Legends" and why they released

Ho-oh
Lugia
Kyogre
Groudon
Dialga
Palkia

The name had nothing to do with why things were included and others were not. If anything, it was convenient, as the set was the filler for cards not yet released in NA.

They had Ho-oh and Lugia, and shiny versions of Entei, Raikou, and Suicune.
They had Kyogre and Groudon, but did not include shiny versions of Regirock, Registeel, or Regice.
They had Kyogre and Groudon, and also included Rayqauza.
They had Dialga and Palkia, but did not include shiny versions of Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit.
They had Dialga and Palkia, but did not include Giratina (Or Arceus for that matter).
They had Deoxys, but not Shaymin.

In short, I don't believe saying they named the set "Call of Legends" for the reasons you mentioned is accurate.

Actually the set centered around Legendary Pokemon. Specifically the shiny cards Japan got for a special giveaway. BTW do you notice a common trend with the Legends selected...I'll give you a hint, the word is capitalized in this very sentence.

If you need me to spell it out all of the Pokemon were featured on the Legend cards in the HS series, and since there were so many legendaries in the set I think Call of Legends was quite fitting.

I'm not going to try to argue an opinion. I don't see a Darkrai or a Cresselia in Call of Legends, so I do not believe the theme fits accurately. My opinion, nothing more.

Can we divert from this minor sub-topic? I'm agreeing with the fact that Kyogre and Groudon have an equal chance of both being and not being in the upcoming set.
