I went to Wal-Mart yesterday, and they didn't have Dragons Exalted packs. I've heard from a few other people that their WMs don't have the packs yet, either. Any ideas about why this is?

I know that a lot of Wal-Marts have placed packs out a day or two before the official release in the past. Do we think this might have something to do with it?

My Wal-Mart did. It really just depends on when the store actually gets it, which seems to vary wildly.

Yeah the 4 closest walmarts around here don't have any packs but the two Targets both had them. I don't get it.

Checked out 3 wal-marts and a target with-in about a 200 mile radius, no luck. though strangely the shop-ko with-in walking distance has them :/

Threads like this come up with every new set. Wal-Mart only rents space to the vendor. They have no say when they set gets stocked. That is up to the vendor. Same goes for Target Mejiers and most big box stores.

The Target in Sandusky does not stocked by a vendor. The cards arrive on the truck with the rest of the stuff for target. it is put out by an employee.

Not sure if that is the same for everywhere. But it is true for that one store here in Ohio.

I actually work at Walmart. If you know the UPC of what you're looking for you can call the store or have an employee look it up on a Telzon. When they look it up it will show if it's in the store (or back room), on a truck, or if it's been ordered. I have to do this for a lot of different items. Pokemon is no different and it saves you time. Good luck!

Edit: EP mentioned vendors. I know this happens a lot with our groceries and greeting cards. Haven't heard about playing cards but if that's the case then it could get messy because they only stock when they care to.

I work for walmart too the cards come from ups. Some stores have a vendor that comes in and stocks it at ours the overnight cashiers do a majority of the stocking. 60% of the time there is back stock in the back room it will be in a white box that says Beckett on the side I believe.
