I haven't played for a while, and, well, I don't have many legal cards, so I figured instead of trying to put a misfit deck together out of a Magnezone and Electivire, I'd try something fun, with the main attacker only a rare. So if you have any suggestions, it'd be nice if you could let me know of the best card to use, and perhaps a cheaper alternative, also what booster packs I should buy (I don't think I'll be buying many singles)
The deck focusses around getting Noctowl out, and then getting more cards than your opponent, because its fairly easy to get cards out of your hand.
Pokemon (yes, most are filler) {16}
Noctowl LV.40 [2]
Hoothoot LV.7 [4]
Delcatty PK [1]
Skitty CG [2]
Love that Delcatty effect, plus you can draw up to 3 additional cards
Roserade LV.33 [1]
Roselia LV.31 [1]
Budew LV.6 [1]
Mainly for Budew's effect, plus in this deck another attacker never hurts
Unown D LV.14 [1]
Not even entirely sure why I have this, but it could help out with copycat
Pachirisu LV.23 [1]
The energy search helps out, and its got a nice HP for a basic
Misdreavus LV.16 [1]
Astonish+Unown D is a decent combo, and it fits with the decks basic strategy
Mawile PK [1]
CFF could get me that much needed Hoothoot/Skitty, and Pull Away should be useful
[I'd probably replace most of these with more Noctowl/Delcatty+Skitty when I get them]
Trainers {27}
Copycat [4]
Super Scoop Up [4]
in case I need more cards desperately, and of course it could save a prize.
Scott [2]
anything that can get "up to" a certain amount is great in this deck
Lanette's Net Search [1]
See above
Pluspower [3]
easily discarded, and can help
Pokeball [2]
with less Noctowls/Delcattys, its neccessary to be able to search for them
Master Ball [1]
See above
Energy Removal 2 [2]
Switch [3]
Professor Birch [1]
Professor Rowan [2]
Professor Elm's Training Method [1]
Bill's Maintenance [1]
Energy [17]
Multi Energy [1]
my only special energy that isn't a darkness energy
:grass: [8]
:lightning [4]
