Hello,

I just started playing Pokemon about a week ago and wanted help with my deck. Given, I have a mewtwo ex but I took him out of my deck because my friends and I just play for fun (nobody runs eeltrik or durants but not by choice).

Here is my deck and would like some input. Be gentle with my emotion please

Main Attackers
Zekrom EX x1
Zekrom x1
Thundurus x1
Zapdos -Bench Damage x1

Role Players
Larvesta x2
Volcarona - Burn ability and burn attack x 1
Growlithe x 3
Arcanine - Burned if attacked x 2
Litwick x 3
Lampent x 2
Chandelure - 30/30/30 damage and burn attack x 1
Pansear x 2
Simisear - 20/20/20 damage x 1

Energies
Fire x 11
Lightning x 7
DCE x 3
Rescue x 2
Prism x 1

Trainers
Rock Helmet
Battle City
Energy Retrieval x2
Cilan
Pokemon Catcher x 2
Super Rod
Potion x 2

Cheren
Pokemon Communication x3
Professor Jupiter

As for strategy, I'm pretty much setting it up to spread some bench damage with Simisear and Chandelure but Chandelure is a stage 2 as where Simisear is stage 1. I'm looking to replace him with another pokemon that requires only one stage and does bench damage.

My main attackers are there to counter water pokemon. This was made from what was once my fire/lightning deck.

Anybody know of a lightning pokemon that does bench damage, preferably to defending and one or two to bench?

Short response, too many Energy, not enough Trainer/Supporters to propel your deck along faster. Your main attackers do not capitalize on the Burn effects in this deck.

Houndoom Prime is capable of Burning the Defending Pokemon (from the Bench, via Poke-Power) once a turn (per Houndoom Prime in play).

The new Raikou-EX does 100 damage to a Pokemon of your choice, for LLC, but you must discard all Lightning Energy attached to it. Lightning-type Stage 1 Bench damagers include two different Zebstrika (BLW43, NEX48), Electivire, Electrode Prime, and Raichu (from Undaunted).

Hmm, Well I would have to say drop everything that doesn't burn or help with burn condition. Such as Chandy, Simisear, and all the Electric pokemon. If your'e worried about the weakness then you can leave in Zekrom and possibly add in one more and just attack with outrage.
I would suggest adding in either houndoom prime for the power but the main guy I would add in is Rapidash from TM. It attacks for 50 burns and the defending pokemon can't retreat during the next turn. Your going to need more draw power as well. Add in more such as Professor Oak's New Theory, Juniper, Cheren, even Sage's Training. Also searching for pokemon is needed as well. So Pokemon Collector or Dual Balls are needed. Level Ball can be used as well sense Rapidash only has 90HP. Ultra Ball is also good

So a rough list would be
4-4 Rapidash
2-2 Houndoom prime
2-2 Volcorona
1 Zekrom
1 Magby TM (good for burning and stalling when needed) If you don't like this can be taken out for another Zekrom
18: Pokemon

4- Pokemon Collector or dual ball
3- Pokemon Communication
2- Pokemon Catcher
4- Professor Oak's New Theory
4- Juniper (or sage's training/ or Cheren depending on your'e preferance or a combination of these)
4- Junk Arm (gets back trainers to reuse them. makes decisions easier on what to play)
1- Super Rod
2- Level Ball
2- Switch
26- T/S/S

8- Fire
4- Dark basic or special your choice
4- Double Coloress
16- Energy
Hope this helps, enjoy!
