Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

North Texas: Spring Battle Roads

Now if only Kevin could have made it into the Top 4, then all the Davis players would have been posted. ;P

Shame on you Fish, triple-posting.

Garland Battle Roads

Juniors

1st Trae B
2nd Kaitlin S.

Seniors

1st Corey R. (way to go nephew!!!!!)
2nd Sean Hig.

Masters

1st Johnny K.
2nd Robby W.
3rd/4th Len D.
3rd/4th Desmond E.

Key Notes.
The event was quite fun. In juniors we had some first timers play. Trae got his first tourney win and Kaitlin (Kevin's baby girl) only five years old and playing like she's play for a while. First happened in seniors as well Corey got his first tourney win and Sean got his first top cut. Masters top cuts were funny say to least, random "Judge" jokes and laughter to ease to tension. (mainly from Johnny.) The top 2 and top 4 matches were the same. They each went to three games and the first two were epic, but round three was deflating for the ones that lost. (especially Len. Dude, that sucks). We had some new players to the events and that's always good. The players kept up the Spirit of the Game.

Congrats to the winners. All of you earned it. :thumb:

^ To put "Len dude...That sucks" into context, I FTKO'd his lone Unown Q with an Uxie in game three of our Jumpluff v. Gyarados top four match. Lol.

Len

Me and Len had a great battle (the gardy deck that kept making you shuffle your hand) he's an outstanding player/person glad to see you did well, and congrats to everyone who played. You should all come to Sherman for more epic battles on the 31st...

I can't wait to make my Spring Battle Roads debut in sherman. It's going to be awesome.

Ut oh we may need a bigger building, jk but really I anticipate a huge turnout with it being the only thing going that Monday. Then afterwords we can all head to Lake Texoma for a afterbattle party. So bring your swimsuit and comeone, I got the chips and dip...

Less than and hour away for Reg to open at Haltom! Bring your A Game to Haltom City, or you can Take your B Game and go to Garland! (J/K Spotter)

Hmmmm. . . .Spitter wins Haltom City. Undefeated, no less.

Kettlez wins Garland with 1 Swiss loss, a very close T4 (excepting the *DONK*), and a challenging T2.

I think we can all see where the "A" game was yesterday.

-S.

P.S.: Of course, this is all considering we haven't heard a thing out of Tyler yet. We'll all feel pretty dumb if they had 127 people, and Steve Silvestro flew in to fight the human incarnation of Ash in a hotly contested (and highly controversial) T2.

The Dairy Queen close to Fantasy Quest is going to be closed for Monday's tournament in Sherman. There are some fast food places up and down Texoma Parkway; easy to get to but tricky coming back if not familiar with the area. As those who have played here before, THIS IS A VERY SMALL STORE. We can handle 31 masters (not comfortably) and 15 Juniors/Seniors. After that, bring your playmats as we may be playing on the sidewalk outside. Will also ask that you put your backpacks and binders in a car prior to the tournament. Depending on how many we have, there will be no place for them in the store.

Demarcus, there is a chance that I will not be able to give you a ride to sherman, Monday. I am leaving town on Saturday and coming back Monday night.....................family vacation....

For the Sherman Tournament, Shannon is planning on grilling hot dogs behind the store and selling some type of hot dog meal deal.
