Hey guys,

I'm new around these parts and I need help on building this deck. Btw, if anyone wants to sell 1 Yvetal Ex internationally, i buy :D

Pokemons: 11
2 Darkrai Ex
2 Yvetal Ex
2 Yvetal
2 Sableye
3 Bouffalant

Energys: 12
8 Darkness
4 DCE

T/S/S 37
2 Virbank
1 shadow circle

3 muscle band

4 Juniper
4 N
1 Skyla

4 Dark Patch
3 Ultra Ball
3 Hypnotoxic
2 Bicycle
2 Enhanced Hammer
2 Random Receiver
2 Energy Switch
1 Escape Rope
1 Tool Scraper
1 Prof's Letter
1 Scramble Switch

I will just comment the aparentely awkward picks:
Shadow Circle - My country's metagame it is filled with Plasma Variants, thus, making Thundurus a regular apearance that can Ohko my Yvetals and cripple really bad my Ex. Also, fairies run Terrakion as well, protecting my Bouffalants and Darkrais.

Energy Switch/ Scramble Switch - Yvetal Ex rellies on energy rotation and these 3 cards have a major impact on my game.

I'm considering adding a Mr Mime and Shauna(s). But don't know what to take out.

Please share your thoughts about changes. Every opinion is welcome!

Have you considered playing Fairies? I play Yvelta Fairies and it's really good, plus you don't have to rely on the scramble to win you the game.

Fairies is a decent deck, but lacks consistency that Darkrai variants have. It is true that is versatile but, Garbodor shuts down the entire deck, and if your pokemon with energies get knocked out you can't keep up the game. Besides, I don't relly on scramble switch to win games. I just said scramble switch is a great choice when playing with Yvetal because I can get the energies I need to OHKO the opponent's pokemon.

Hello and welcome to the Gym.

A few thoughts for your consideration:

  • With 3 Bouffalant, this Poké is not an "ideal" starter for this deck. I'd suggest replacing 1 with either another Yveltal or Sableye or an Absol.
  • Secondly, given the popularity of Plasma decks in yor country (as well as here too), the likelihood you will encounter Thundurus EX is reasonably "high" perhaps. So, I suggest you switch your Shadow Circle count to 2 replacing 1 of your Virbank City Gym Stadiums. Afterall, some of your opponents will likely run VCG too.
  • I strongly suggest too you consider adding more Skyla. It is the only Trainer search card (that you can run multiple copies of) in the game. It is extremely useful in allowing you to get any needed Item (e.g., a Bicycle or Random Receiver when you have no draw card in your hand), Stadium, Supporter or Tool. Consider replacing a Dark Patch with a Skyla. With 2 Yveltal also providing energy attachment acceleration, I've found 3 DPs to be quite sufficient.
  • Lastly, have you playtested using either Colress or Shauna in your card-draw Supporter mix? Having only 2 choices of N (shuffles both yours and your opponent's hand (when you might not to)) and Professor Juniper (reluctantly may discard valuable resources at times leaving you perhaps at a disadvantage) may not be ideal. So, consider remixing your 8 card-draw Supporters (2 Bicycle should remain, IMHO - they are that good) to include either Colress or Shauna which both only affects your hand. (In my Darkrai deck, I run 2 Bicycle, 2 Colress, 4 N, and 3 PJ which works well for me.)
Relative to adding Mr. Mime, IMHO, I think you should consider replacing a HT Laser with this Poké. You will still have 2 and can be Junk Hunt'ed. In reviewing other viable choices, I believe replacing 1 of the HTLs would have the least overall impact on your deck.

I hope you find these comments helpful.

I find that a 3-3 line of bicycle/random receiver and only 8 draw supporters is ideal since on many occasions I find myself needing lots of reasorces in one turn and bike really helps you to do so. Random receiver is also very good, especially with the low count of supporters. I find the ideal coconut for random receiver to be 3-4. I find that these cards are very usefull and can provide multiple outs in many situations.

I would probably change scramble switch to dowsing machine since I find that there is not much need for scramble switch in the deck since energy acceleration is not really a problem and dowsing machine provides a back up card since it can grab any trainer or supporter card from your discard and can really help you get back key reasorces which you may of had to discarded in haste. I really like dowsing machine in the deck since if you use evil ball and your going to be off by say 20 damage, dowsing for a dark claw or a laser can really help.

A comment regarding Scramble Switch: I really like SS in my deck version because it provides the opportunity for you to salvage energy from a possible, severely damaged, active Poké; so, you often times won't lose energy attachment momentum in doing so.
