Official PTCGO Bug Thread (Updated 3/7)

Lets see from just playing recently:

Sometimes a "knocked out" Pokemon stays on the field on top of the active Pokemon.
Noticed it lets you play trainers/supporters first turn, thought that was only the person going second.
Coin flips are not very random looking, sometimes it goes high but never really "flips".
The computer is really good at flipping what you DON'T want to flip.
BTW why does the opponent do all the flips anyways?
It let's you use an ability (Dragon Call) even if you don't have any Dragon Pokemon in your deck.

BTW another Theme Deck related thing. I bought two Dragon's Speed decks (with different codes) and entered the new code, it said it unlocked, but no deck to "open" in the packs.

I have opened all the Theme Decks, and I still can play with them on the Trainer Challenge (and yes the deck unlock thing works, just click on "Rewards" when you win to see them).
 
Eric, the TSS and Ability thing are correct. The rules changed about 2 years ago. TSS can be played on the first turn. And The Game has no knowledge of what's in your deck, so you can use the Ability and Fail it just to see what's left in your deck.
 
OK I guess I have been out of the loop (stopped playing about a year ago, and recently got back into it).

Another glitch:

Used Beartic's Superpower did not do 20 extra damage, but did do 20 damage to itself (would have knocked out active Pokemon with one hit instead of 2).
 
Killed a espeon from dark explorers with mewtwo and it allowed me to take two prizes instead of 1
 
This might not be the place for this, but there's apparently a lot of dumb stuff that's censored that shouldn't be. I'll just type in something innocuous like "It doesn't register if the energy is in play before Darkrai" and it will censor to ":D"
 
So I downloaded the game today. I'm on a PC and it seems there is an update and its stuck at step 2 out of 5. It's been like this for ten minutes and the bar hasn't even moved. I've uninstalled it and downloaded it multiple times and yet it still doesn't seem to budge. Do the downloads really take this long?

It happens to me also. On the current update I waited for like half an hour then I exited it and logged back in and it updated it wihout showing the updating screen.
 
Not really a bug, but if you have code cards from Boundaries Crossed, they don't work yet.
Not even the starters.

The set hasn't been released yet. It releases on Wednesday. That's when the Code Cards should become active.

Funny thing is, the PTCGO website says "Boundaries Crossed redemption now available!"....
 
The servers are down for maintenance in the game but when I went to the website about ten minutes ago it didn't say it was down. Ugh, I just want to redeem my codes.

yes I am having the same problem as well, good i thought it was just me. I have also noticed for some reason it wont let me post on pokemontcg.com? it keeps saying i dont have enough characters but i am typing like 2 or 3 sentences at a time... quite strange. Let me know if the client comes back online for you guys!
 
Boundaries Crossed codes are not available to be redeemed yet. The set isn't out officially until Wednesday I believe.
 
Whenever the opponent uses Relicanth's(COL) Prehistoric Wisdom attack, the card that goes into the lost zone is place with the backside showing you and their is no way to view what the card is. (Yes I tried clicking on it and no I don't know why anyone is using this card on Expert mode...)
 
Ditto doesn't work at all. I used its ability when it was active, and nothing happened on the first turn (I don't mean nothing strange, I mean nothing). On the second turn I played juniper, and after discarding one of the cards in my hand the game asked me to promote a new active. I promoted a Duskull. The two pictures overlapped. Evolved to Dusclops. Still overlapping. Dusclops was treated as my active though, as I could still attack. They KOed Dusclops. Duskull, Dusclops, and the energy attached to them went to the discard. Ditto stayed put, and did the same thing when I promoted my trapinch to active. I forfieted the game at the point.

The option to discard energy when using flygon's attack yields strange text that isnt correct

Sometimes when building decks now it will say something about the wrong number of cards when you save it, even though it is legal and can be used.

Instead of a RH in BC packs you get a card equal in rarity to the card in your rare spot.

BC Zebstrika is a common when it should be a holo rare.

Adding to the RH problem- I pulled a Keldeo EX and a "RH" Keldeo EX in the same pack. They both have separate slots in the collection- both are non-FA.

More ditto silliness. Ditto's ability transforms into pokemon already on your field rather than one in your hand. I benched a ditto, clicked transform and the options it gave me were all the pokemon on my field. So I clicked the Sableye who happened to be my active pokemon. Sableye and his energy moved to my bench on top of Ditto, leaving me with no active. I couldn't attack or retreat, and my opponent could not attack my non-existant active pokemon. My next turn, when I played a supporter, it asked me to choose a new active pokemon, and I was able to finish the game.
