Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Oklahoma State Championships

Time Is Getting short...

 Time Is Getting Short....for the "Oklahoma State Championships".......

Oklahoma and our friends to the south, Texas that is, time is getting short and shorter until the start of the "Oklahoma State Championships". Master Professor Birch will be leaving for your GREAT STATE as soon as the prize support comes gets here tomorrow. Hopefully, I will be present at the Pokemon tournament tomorrow night at "4th street Boutique" in Moore, Oklahoma.

I am hoping that we will have some Pokemon players from the surrounding states besides Texas. As stated in previous "posts", we will have the "State Championships", "State-GBA:Ruby & Sapphire Championship", and a "Sealed Deck" Tournament (for $10.00 w/six packs of "EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua"). So, we will offer every kind of tournament that there is at this event. Constructed, GBA, and Limited will all be presented. All of these tournaments have excellent prize support!!! :thumb:

I hope to see you on Saturday at "Heritage Park Mall" in Midwest City (just east of Oklahoma City) at the "Oklahoma State Championships". Registeration begins at 9:00am and the first event starts at 9:30am.

VIPs remember to wear your VIP Badges so that it will be easy to spot you for your discounts, etc. Don't be late so that you will not miss any of the action!!! :D

Take care and later.

:pokeball: Master Professor Birch :pokeball:

PS: There will be no "proxy cards" allowed and there will be decklists.

One More day!!!!

When will the UNLIMITED tourney be held? Before or after the main event?

Will James and I be eligable for the V.I.P. package too? Just wondering.

MPBirch is at Oklahoma getting ready for the State Championship so I'll answer in his place.

IF there is an unlimited tournament then it will be after the main event. The reason I say if, is because not many players around here play unlimited anymore.

If both you & your son are VIP package winners then yes you're eligible. Did you or your son win a City Championship? If I remember right your son did but, you know the memory goes more & more....

I don't remember all but the top decks in the age groups were -
10 & Under - Taylor V.'s Rambo beat Dale L.'s Ampharos/EX. This group had 8 players

11-14 - Heather L.'s Garevoir/EX beat Taylor D.'s ??? This group had 16 players

15+ - Brad A.'s Swampert/EX beat Taylor C.'s Blaziken varient. This group had 24 players.

Not much of a report. Sorry about that.

That's a nice report, Old Man! Mucho thanks to ya, and it's great to hear that OK and Texas players are still some of the most competitive in the country! *Bahda...bu, bah-bah!* I'm lovin' it!

Ain't that the truth!

Currently on the standings YOU are 1st globally in modified then Texas & Oklahoma are sharing 2nd place. That will change some after this tournament gets reported but not too much I don't think. But watch out, Taylor may overtake you when it does get reported.

Ruh roh. Better get to work at Creative Gift Baskets, then! I've already been knocked off of my high horse overall! Maybe Modified too? What was the young lad's record, out of curiosity? Oh, quite good, no doubt. I'm expecting...oh, 7-1/5-2? Something that'll wipe the smile off this Kettle boy's face >_>""

I'm sure I'll hear many a tale of the tourney from Clay or Dana, should they come up today. Glad to see such a successful event come from the 3 R's of OK organized play! *not in anyway related to Ryan's title of Triple R for me, rofl*

Hey,

Man was the heat turned up in OK this weekend or what!!
We had such a blast such an awesome turnout and so glad to see Blazakin wasn't the dominating deck.

Taylor's record into top 8 was 4/1 and ended up 2nd to Brad (His torchic to Brad's Mudkip)
Brad (OK) went into top 8 as well with 4/1 and took 1st Place :)
Nancy L went undefeated into top 8 with 4 wins and a draw round 5 with Heather ( and lost 1st round of top 8 to Jimmy -My mudkip to his Magnemite!! Boy I can't wait for 2/3 :( )
Heather L went undefeated into top 4 with 4 wins and the draw and took 1st (She only remembers the Blaziken from his deck)
Dale took 2nd to a Blaziken deck

Thank you....

 ~Thank you~

Thank you to all of the players and parents that attended the "Oklahoma State Championships". We all had a blast!!! Was this a State Championship or a PARTY??? I think we had both!!! :D

Congradulations to our "Oklahoma State Champions"......... :thumb:

Age Group: "10-Under"--Taylor Vanderford (Oklahoma)

Age Group: "11-14"--Heather Lynch (Texas)

Age Group: "15-Over"--Brad Allred (Oklahoma)

These players deserve a big hand for the job that they did in these State Championships. Every Premier Event that Master Professor Birch has to'ed has gotten more and more competive. There could have been at least three or four different winners in each age group with some matches coming down to a flip of a coin or bad opening hand. Makes you think about that 2 out of 3 matches for the finals or Top-8.

Thanks again to everyone that attended.

I will be back at "Heritage Park Mall" on May 29, 2004 for the "Oklahoma Gym Challenge". At this event, Master Professor Birch will be handing out those invitations and trips to the "World Championships" in Orlando, Florida. :D

Great job for posting the post tournament information to "old man" and "mewsmom". ;)

Sounds like a party to me!!!!

Here's to 2 of 3!!!!

Can't wait to see you all in July!!!

Meganium45!

(That almost made a haiku!!!)

Not a party for lil ole Patriarch...going 2-2 at a weekly 8K tournament really hurts (pouts about his 1855 record).

*In a Snively Whiplash voice* Collinsworth, you win this time! But I'll be back!

~Patriarch~

Get a Grip!!! I can't enter the results of the "Oklahoma State Championship" until we can enter the new POP ID#s of the players this weekend. Its a "PUI" thing with the new website.

FYI and I don't know why I am doing this??? ZeroGravity went 5W-2L-1D in the State Event and 3W-1L-1D in the Sealed Pack Tourney. So, he was 8W-3L-2D for the day. So, with him going 8W-2L in the "Texas State Championship" and his "Modified Rating" went down 28-points, I am sure that his Rankings & Rating will fall even more now. Which I still have not figured that one out as of yet???

=O Oh, I'm just kidding, Richard! I could stand being last in the world if I just got to go to some fun tournies!

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, Meganium's right, 'though. Both the Texas and OK SC's were just fantastic! Can't wait, #1 TO eva ;)

I went 3-1-1 im main tourny and 2-2 in follow-up tourny and my rating only wnet up 2 points.....hmmmm interesting

~Patriarch / Blazi-King~

Zero-Gravity actually went 6-2-1 in "State Championships" and 3-1-1 in the "Sealed Deck" tournament. So, he went 9-3-2 for the whole day. Checking today, his over all rating went down 4-points and his "Modified" rating went down 6-points.

This was after the "Texas State Championships" his rating in "Modified" went down 26-points after going 8-2-0 for the day. Go figure that one!!!!
