Hi guys,

I'm just getting back into the game and i'm wondering are you allowed to use Basic Energys from like the old sets?? After all they are only energys...

Also I really like grass types and i've been looking around and found this deck as they "type" to play: torterra/sceptile/shaymin, but I have no idea what it looks like??

any help here would be great.
thanks.

Yes, all of the old Basic energies are allowed.

Torterra/Sceptile generally runs a Pokemon line like this:

2 Treecko SF
1 Grovyle (SF or GE)
2 Sceptile GE
4 Turtwig DP
2 Grotle MD
2 Torterra PT (or MD, depending on the list)
1 Torterra SF (or DP, depending on the list)
1 Torterra lv. X
2 Baltoy
2 Claydol
1 Azelf
1 to 3 Uxie
1 to 2 Unown G

I'm not sure how people are going to be incorporating Shaymin lv. X (Ground Form, with Thankfulness) into these decks since the card just got released, but I know I am going to be trying to get away with a 1-1 line. There just is not space for any more than that, and it really isn't necessary.

what is Torterra PT???

also what does the (PT,SF,) mean:

Torterra PT (or MD, )
Torterra SF (or DP, )

Torterra Platinum.
DP = Diamond and Pearl
MT = Mysterious Treasures
SW = Secret Wonders
GE = Great Encounters
MD = Majestic Dawn
LA = Legends Awakened
SF = Stormfront
PT = Platinum

since this forum is all text, these are them (almost) universal symbols for these sets.

hope this helps,

-Kaz
