old metagross question

i have a question on the old metagross from delta species. it has an attack called crush and burn. it says you do 30 damage+ 20 for each energy card you discard. well what if i have a double rainbow energy attached and i discard that. does it do +40 because i have 2 energies. idk im confused

If something says "for each energy", then DCE counts as two energy.
If something says "for each energy card", then DCE is one card.
