this works great, thanks for the suggestion!

i just registered my son on pokygym and added his player ID. then use the default browser for his ID and firefox for my ID to access the stadium page on my samsung droid charge (dolphin's been crashing on me lately), and just switch between the two browsers. nice!

I love this program, and I'm glad to see it expanding to official use!

A couple suggestions for the next version:
-Have a way for the organizers to post messages, such as round start times after lunch or other important stuff
-Have a way for players to "opt-in" to sharing their match info with specific other players (ie parent and child, other team members)

Once again, fantastic work!
 
I love the online pairings system! Made Oregon Regionals so much better.

But I do have to ask, why is it that the software is coded such that only tournament participants can see the pairings? I can understand the usefulness, but I don't imagine it would be hard to make the live pairings accessible to the public.

Just a suggestion for future tournaments! I'd love to follow along with the action and check in on how everyone is doing round-by-round!
 
I was really disappointed that the pairings were only available to Masters division players. Especially since seniors all make it so hard to get to the pairing board :lol:
 
Whenever I tried to log in it would only show Master's Flights Orange and Blue, and I couldn't even access those, we'll see tomorrow if it works I guess.

Your first idea is great. I can see it as part of a more full-featured version of this tool.

And we did bat around the idea of being able to "share" somehow, but found a simpler workaround for parents with the multiple browsers. We just didn't have time to build anything fancier. Again, could manifest itself in the future.

It isn't hard. If you recall, it was programmed to do that at Regionals. But as has been mentioned, additional authentication and privacy measures are in place for Nationals.
 
Indeed Junior and Senior tournaments were online as well all day.

Yes, I also noticed the new error. The application platform (out of my control) is having trouble making remote requests at the moment. I've added a more notable "Error communicating with PokeGym." message, hoping it goes away by morning...
 
Thank you so much for this! It improved my Nationals and seemed to do that for a whole lot of folks there. I look forward to seeing how it improves.
 
Are our matches at all able to be accessed again? I had a few great opponents I might want to keep in touch with, but didn't have enough foresight to write down their last names. Plus it would just be nice to have a documented report of the event.

Either way, great job, carlos and pokegym staff! It made my first nats destressified by not having to push through masses of people. Ick.
 
Not at the moment, because the authentication mechanism has been disabled for the time being.
