Hi
This Year im tryong to grind and the question is do u MUST have your deck complete in englisch?
cause i cant get a english Uxie X... I would play with prints from pokemon.com and english reference cards.

Thanks for the answer :D

I'm pretty sure it's still going by this year's foreign card rule, but I could be wrong. You can have up to 6 foreign cards in your deck.

Not sure about the grinder but i believe you use local language cards from where you live. So if you are from Japan (example) then you can use all JPN cards.

The LCQ (grinder) goes by US format rules, which includes the rules for non-english cards.
Some allowance may be made for foreign players, but don't expect any allowance made for players that are from an english language country.
So a reference for your Uxie X will be OK.

okay i don't get 1 thing. each league i go to they give me a diffrent awnser to the question " will all foreign cards be banned during the 2010-2011 season

The word "and" there is a little worrying. Just to make total 100% sure, you would need a non-English (but real) Uxie LVX in the deck, and a printout from the Carddex outside of the deck. (An English reference card would only apply if you had 2 foreign Uxies in the deck, since if you had one foreign in the deck and one English outside, you would most likely be expected to swap them.)

Yes, all foreign language cards will be banned starting September 1st in tournament play. What constitutes a "foreign card" varies by location and is listed in the Tournament Rules (I think... It's definitely in one of the documents on the Rules and Resources page on Pokemon.com). But some leagues won't be strict to that for general league play, I would expect.

Hello
Thanks for all the answers.
Im from Germany and my prob is that round 15 cards of my Deck are german.
For example when i got 1 english Hoppip can I use this as a reference for my 4 german"Hopspross"???
Or do i must have the rpints?
also can i have more than 6 german cards in my deck cause pokepop said something bout the foreign card ruling.

@ Mytery: I got all cards 4 my deck some are just in german :D

your allowed to use any language

Yeah this is (sorta) right. According to 15.8 in the Tournament Rules, you're restricted by your own local market rules for both the LCQ and Worlds, not the United States ones. So if you're from Germany, you could use any number of English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish cards in your deck, but no more than 6 Japanese. It also states that you do not need reference cards. (Page 15 for those that want to read it.)
That's not exactly what it says.
It says this:

"Players from Japan are exempt from these restrictions for the Pokémon TCG World
Championships and the Last Chance Qualifier."

So, while Japanese players can use any number of Japanese cards, it doesn't state that German players can use any number of German cards.
On the other hand, I do expect accommodation to be made, but that's not a guarantee.

This is referring to the current year and next year restriction on Japanese language cards. You should not infer anything about a German player using German cards at the LCQ. To answer the legality of German cards used by a German player at the LCQ see the previous section..
For the Pokémon TCG World Championships and the Last Chance Qualifier, players are permitted to use cards that are legal in their home markets. Reference cards are not required for the Pokémon TCG World Championships or the Last Chance Qualifier.
(reference cards may not be required but they are helpful)

Ok Thanks for all the answrs :D
Im glad that i dont have to worry bout my deck now and that i can playtest :D

Thanks Guys for this fast help :D

What's the point of limiting foreign cards when i'm playing against a field of foreign players? I understand that the event is in the USA, but the majority of people will not be from America this year.

The point is that the translation staff will be limited.
They are there for the main event.
They are not there for the LCQ.
We'll have some of them available, but they will be busy helping players that need it because they are from foreign countries and only have foreign cards available to them.
They are not there to help Americans who like to trick out their decks with cool foreign cards for the fun of it.

Grinders is an international event so you can play cards that arn't english and you dont need translations.

Considering I'm HJ of Masters at Worlds and will be working with the LCQ HJs to help run that event, I think you might want to listen to what I've posted so you don't get a shock when your deck is disallowed halfway through the event.
Just sayin'.

Well, he has certainly convinced me.
