I reckon it's about time I got a new anime, and there are a few recent comers in the local shops. I'm not sure which one to get, so can anyone offer any opinions?
Vampire Hunter D: I think it's fairly famous, but is it actually any good? Anything extreme I should know about? I don't mind gore and violence, but there's a point where gratuitous becomes idiotic and that just annoys me.
Detonator Orgun: This one's rated 18s, but I can't tell from reading the back wether it contravenes Pokegym board rules. I apologise if it does, but I think it's just the action. Semi-realistic mech action is something I like. Patlabor good. Gundam daft. Macross borderline.
Virus: Three discs but priced the same as the others. It says it contains an entire series and seems to be about police mechs.
R.O.D.: Looks like it could be a semi-futuristic supernatural detective thing, and the style looks good.
Cheers for any and all opinions!
